Fantastic is an understatement to describe this movie and there's sooo much to say😃
-Vijayaraghavan sublimed the role by giving it a new definition. If it were an actual older actor, we wouldn't have to expect anything, but because it was Vijayaraghavan, it was exciting to see what he would bring to the table.
His walk, his talk, and mannerisms solidified his performance all the way. He really lived like an older person
-The plot was original as it centered on older people and addressed an extremely sensitive issue. So while watching, we were putting ourselves in Ichoy's and Ichamma's shoes, trying to figure out what we would do.
The movie also highlighted something important, it's not because older people have come to an advanced age that they no longer have rights, their needs should never be suppressed even if they only have few days to live.
-the screenplay was excessively rich in characters, it even put a spotlight on a dog & a cow friendship😆 Basil Joseph & Vineeth Sreenivasan intensified the humor with their awkward love-hate relationship. Ichoy's family was realistically structured with a daughter suffering from Alzeimer and a lost son
-What can we say about the direction and the cinematography? Ganesh didn't waste time, about 15min into the film, the climax was already ignited, and the fact that new faces were gradually added along the scenario, it made the story even more interesting
Anend C Chandran's attention to the littlest details and even the sound. Wow! We loved him in Bheesma Parvam and we love him in Pookkaalam.

Pookkalam is a movie that is all about the intricate relationships and bonds within a family. It has very beautifully portrayed old age love, through the role of Ittoop and Ichaama played by Vijayaraghavan and KPAC Leela. The make up Ronex Xavier demands special recognition, without which the characters wouldn't have been this authentic. The DOP by Anand C Chandran is immaculate and Midhun Murali's editing is seamless. The other major characters are played by Vineeth Sreenivasan,Basil Joseph and Johny antony. They have performed such hilarious performances. It was really nice to see Abu Salim in such a different character. The role of his wife, done by Ganga meera was also nice. Annu antony and Arun Kumar extended vibrancy and energy to their characters. All the newcomers did a commendable job. Jagadeesh also acted in a very notable role. The music by Sachin Warrier is another highlight of the movie. The colour grading by Bilal Rashid is on point ,I need to say! The visuals perfectly encapsulated the emotions of the movie. All in all brilliant execution by Ganesh Raj,the writer come director. Congratulation to Vinod shornur and Thomas thiruvalla for producing such a sweet movie. Rafi Kannadiparba needs to be appreciated for his brilliant costume sense, all the colour's selected were so soothing to eyes. The lyrics by Kaithapram and rafeeq Ahmed conveyed a lot. Cheers to entire team .

There's emotional reciprocity involved with giving compliments. Seeing someone else happy, especially when you were the one who made them happy, in turn makes you happy. It's one of the simplest ways to boost someone else's mood as well as your own. Compliments really are one of the easiest two-way streets available to spread happiness around you and increase your own. The more you compliment, the better you feel. We know it can feel awkward sometimes to dish out a compliment-and to receive one-but the more practice you get, the more natural it will feel Here are a hundred ready-made compliments to try out for yourself. Such compliments can work.
Pookkaalam is a heartwarming film directed by Ganesh Raj. It revolves around Ittoop, a nonagenarian man portrayed by Vijayaraghavan, who discovers that his entire life has been built on lies. This revelation deeply affects his relationship with his wife, Kochuthresia, played by KPAC Leela. The movie takes place during a betrothal function, creating a lively atmosphere with amusing interactions and joyful chaos.

Pookkaalam explores themes of family, secrets, and the impact of past events on relationships. It beautifully balances serious and comedic elements, making it a heartfelt and enjoyable family entertainer.
