Sherlock Holmes: Mare of the Night

This film! The depth of the writing and story telling- AMAZING! The cinematography was flawless! Out of this world continuity. Where did you find such an amazing set? The POV's were thought provoking and made scenes pop! The dialogue- who wrote this???? The sound/music, fantastic!!! Lighting and color for such a dark film helped keep the audience engaged! The makeup and artistic special effects were Hollywood quality. I expect we will see more from this director, cast and crew. The lead characters read each other and flowed so well! Sherlock was the BEST and played the role beautifully. Cannot wait to see it again!

What a great movie, it makes you wanting more. Great acting, videography and score music. They really captured that era in time. Well put together, loved everything about it. We will watch again and again. Can't wait for more to come. Director CJ Goodwyn out did himself, this movie deserves more showings everywhere for more people to watch. I highly recommend this movie, it does not disappoint. Thank you for putting a great film out for everyone to enjoy. I look forward in what's to come in the future with this film. Must see film to see a shattered hero at the end of his era and the past that haunts him. Creative writing and a super cool villain that you will remember! Happy to encourage family and friends to see this work of art! Congratulations to the cast and crew for their contribution to this film. Small independent films need everyone's support now more than ever so do what you can to support the industry and all the talent that works so hard to create art that they are obviously passionate about. This film will leave you thinking about other iconic heroes and what their story would be if they were real people.

Growing up I was never a Sherlock fan but after seeing this movie, it definitely changed my mind. The movie captures the emotional changes one goes through after a long career as a detective. As a retired police officer and combat veteran, I definitely related to Sherlock during his darker side. I never knew how many crazy and horrific cases he worked until I researched after. The main characters that told the story did an outstanding job along with the stunt/ fight team! I don't want to spoil anything but you definitely have to get out and watch it if you're a horror, thriller or mystery fan!

I personally enjoyed the "darker" take on Sherlock Holmes. Originally envisioned a horror type setting from Sherlock after reading The Hound of Baskerville when I was younger. In addition to that, I also thought seeing vulnerability and insight into some of Holmes' personal struggles added a nice human element to the overall film. Les Best's performance was captivating as Sherlock along with Taylor King's. Thought the villain character was creative too. It's impressive that this is an indie film. I do know the director won San Antonio director of the year in 2024 and look forward to seeing more of his work in the future. Overall enjoyable film experience👍
