My son has heard all the books in audio and was so ecstatic for the series, honestly so was I. He, as the rest of us we enamored by the animation and so excited to see this story come to life visually. Even my younger kids that didn't hear the audio book where glued to the tv. The voice acting was spot on, the animation style was breathtaking . The story was true to the source material. With so many inappropriate kid shows out there I am glad this wholesome show was created so they could have something good to watch without me having to worry about what will pop up next. We can't wait to see the future episodes.
My son and I love the Wingfeather Saga books and were very excited to see the animated take on the series. Introducing characters and settings for the first time is always challenging and these books have a lot of vibrant imagery in the descriptions to portray. It took a minute or two for me to adjust my mental pictures to what was being portrayed by the artists, but I found myself quickly swept into the story and the animation style grew on me as we met more characters - especially the dragons!
I am definitely looking forward to seeing the next episode and watching the story unfold - perhaps even more now than initially.
Though I will always recommend the books first, this animated representation is engaging, unique, elegant, and intriguing - much like the books!

I and my family absolutely LOVE The Wingfeather Saga first episode. We waited for months for the first episode. We weren't disappointed. We can't wait for episode 2. The animation is pure art. It's beautiful. And we like the music as well. The characters are fun and interesting. I am looking forward to the series exploring them deeper. This is just so well done. It was worth the wait. I have not read the book set The Wingfeather Saga, but I am certainly going to read it now. What a magnificent idea to turn this book series into a television series. Brilliant. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to watch.
Once, in a great while a show comes along where young and old look forward to watching together. Wingfeather is such a show.
The story immediately draws the family in and the animation is completely different than anything we've seen before. It seems like every frame is a piece of art.
Our 11 year old, who read the books, ended up buying wingfeather shirts for himself because he is deeply into the story. I think he has read the books twice. He is so excited for the show and he's struggling to avoid spoilers. "I want to be able to talk to the rest of the family about it!" He said.
So, tonight we all watched the livestream of episode one together. We will be there in two weeks for episode two!

Just watched the first episode, and fell in live all over again! Great introduction to the characters and the artwork is so great! It really brings you into the town of Glipwood. The introduction of the different creatures right at the start gets you so excited to see more of this incredible world. The voice acting is very well done and is exactly in the tone of the expected feeling from the books. The singing in the books has always been interesting and we were not disappointed with the performances in the first episode! There is so much more in store in this epic story, and my family is incredibly excited to follow along.
