Love Recipe

I'm not sure why others are so hard on this. Is it deep? No. Is it complex? Also no. It's just a cute, feel good animated short, and that's all it has to be. It's a charming little film that makes me "aww" at a husband and wife both preparing for a Valentine's day in, and the cake looks absolutely delicious.

The music choice is great, it adds to the charm and feels like a song you'd easily see in a Pixar short. The character designs are a bit flat, but given this came out 17 years ago, it's pretty well rendered for the time period. Early Pixar looked pretty rough too, and no one seems to mind.

A game of cliches. perfect for Saint Valentine Day. ironic, too pink, proposing a good intention man, a lady from Peter Paul Rubens paintings- with few nuances of Pierre - Auguste Renoir,an energic dog and French in its essence, seductive and...real nice. sure, it seems be the film of a specific day. but, without be memorable, it represents the best choice for a comfortable evening. and it is enough about it.
