A documentary more Americans need to watch

This is a subject Americans don't know enough about and it is great to have a documentary that beats down the walls of patriotic rhetoric Americans have been force fed for decades in their schools. Only when the majority of Americans start recognizing the problems they face internally and externally, on this road to democracy, can they correct them.

U.S. foreign policy hasn't changed and it won't till the walls of ignorance are beaten down.

As an example in conjunction with MI6 the CIA helped overthrow the only democratic gov't Iran ever had. Why? Iran wanted to nationalize their oil. The U.S. and Britain put a dictator in power who represented Western interests and that leader brutalized the people (murder, torture and jail). When the desperate populace finally overthrew the dictator they ended up inadvertently putting another dictator in power. Since this dictator didn't represent American interests the U.S. funded a war between Iran and Iraq to overthrow him. During this period the American gov't didn't blink an eye when he gassed the Kurds. The same weapons they later condemned Saddam Hussein for having were some of the same weapons they supplied him with during his war with Iran. All of this information is public knowledge and in 2013 even the CIA acknowledged their involvement in the overthrow of Iran's only democratic leadership.

powerful and stirring, a must-see educational material to promote awareness about the true origins of Latino communities in US

It is incredibly important that the new generations watch this documentary as it is inspirational and informative.

My personal reaction was of immense emotion: from the beginning till the end I could relate and fully understand the pain of the Latino immigrants, even though I come from Eastern Europe.

Hopefully enough progressive-minded educators expose the truth about the so-called "immigration problem" and fully utilize Juan Gonzales' book to further build lessons and courses on how and why "the most dangerous enemies are not each other, but the great wall of ignorance between us".

Thank you WENDY THOMPSON and EDUARDO LOPEZ for your courage and strength to produce this film despite all obstacles.
