The Last Man(s) on Earth

An outrageous adventure comedy about two best friends and self- described survival experts who are put to the test of doing what they do best - prevent world destruction. Charan Prabhakar and Brady Bluhm are hilarious! So rarely do you find buddy / bro comedies that feature such great chemistry. Their absurd characters and over-the-top performances would be challenging enough on a stage, but these two pull it off with flying colors on film. Aaron Hultgren wrote a ludicrous comedy, and his direction, the crisp editing, and Prabhakar and Bluhm's performances really carry the film. Prepare for a fun and foolish ride topped off by a bunch of laughs!

This has got to be the second best B movie I've seen. Worthy of a watch tho. It plays out like a high school movie project, cheesy storyline, waaay over acted drama scenes (which makes it really funny), bad special effects, and good plot twists. You'd be surprised who the real villain is. It has a comic book type of feel to it, with captions popping up here and there. I've seen a lot of award winning movies and this ain't it by far, but was really fun. Just a reminder, you gotta like cheese to watch this, and I'm a HUGE fan of cinema cheese, tho I appreciate good films. Give er a try, and giggle a lot. Like I said, it's terrible... but in a good way. LOL

Based on their YouTube comedy series, The Last Man(s) on Earth, we find Charan Prabhakar and Brady Bluhm channeling their inner Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, respectively. This is a film that looks like it was a ton of fun to make, though slightly less fun to watch. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it and found the leads to be funny characters, but it still felt like a YouTube length skit that was stretched out to feature length proportions. The filmmakers were also obviously working on a very constrained budget, which added charm at moments and weighed down the film at other times. If you enjoy the camaraderie of Pegg/Frost, then this film might just as well be the lower-budgeted cousin, with a similar character dynamic and humor that wouldn't be out of place in one of their films or TV shows. Overall, a valiant effort and I'd love to see what these guys could do if given the resources to make a decently funded feature.

This movie is fantastic. Hilarious, weird, offbeat, mostly unpredictable. It starts weird and just gets cooler and cooler.

I watched this by accident, thinking it was the pilot episode of a TV show everyone is raving about (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3230454/). I was amazed at the quality and style of this new TV show! It felt like something FOX would air in the early 90s - like In Living Color (www.imdb.com/title/tt0098830/). This is something totally new and different. I've never seen a movie quite like this.

Yes, it's a bit low budget. But the low budget quality actually fits the style of the two characters' YouTube videos. And key ingredients are definitely A-grade: lighting, acting. If you can enjoy seriously stupid funny, like Tucker and Dale vs Evil (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1465522/), then this movie is for you! This movie deserves so much more than its current 3.6 rating. I am a fan of the YouTube episodes of The Last Man(s) on Earth so when I heard they made a movie, I was beyond excited! This type of comedy is right up my alley. It is witty, puny, and extremely dumb, which makes for some great laughs. I mean epic laughs. The actors portrayed the characters brilliantly. The main actors truly made the perfect pair. The plot is one that has become increasingly popular in the entertainment industry, many will enjoy this movie. Yes, this movie wasn't completely perfect. It had some slow points and some of the acting was not Hollywood material, but overall it made for some quality entertainment as far as comedies go. This movie is family friendly and I can't wait to watch it with mine.
