The very first GLARING fact is that all of the participants on the show are trying to plug their business, podcast, music, acting, dancing, influencing or some other skill to get their 15 minutes of fame and that's the REAL reason they're doing the show. Keep in mind, these are not "actors". They're just regular people looking for a miniscule piece of fame. Some of the reasons for hiding the person are downright laughable and completely unbelievable. The hosts don't really fit well together and are a odd match up. I noticed that during some of the confrontations and interviews Travis will be talking but constantly looking away at Rahne like he needs help.
The show catfish is no better or different. That show has been on for how many seasons and people are still being catfished? Yeah ok, all of these shows are just mindless entertainment and none are better than the other.
The quality and creativity of the new "reality" TV shows reflects the fact that the masses appear to be growing tired of "reality" TV.

I've given this a half hour and that was way too long. What is the deal with the hosts Ronnie and the blonde guy? After every sentence someone speaks to them, they are in perpetual shock at what they heard and need to regroup. C'mon now, I'm waiting for the guy to vomit or something.
I don't mean this to be rude, the concept of the show piqued my interest on the commercial - it's a great idea, it just needs to be cleaned up and definitely come across as more believable. It all just screams FAKE!!! With 92 more characters needed, this is tough. Why do these reviews need to have a mandatory length. Either way, it's safe to say goodnight now!

Just a really, really bad show. Very clearly set-up and overproduced. A lot of the "secrets" just don't make sense. The interview venues are supposedly impromptu but are clearly stocked with lame props to make them appear real. Just a godawful waste of time of a show.
The episode with the personal trainers with the hothead woman makes it clear this is fake. No one that pops off this easily also never asks basic questions or never insists she be allowed at her boyfriend's house. It's just such a really dumb and contrived show. Complete waste of time. MTV sure has failed on this one. Time to shutter that business.

Travis and Rahne are very likeable so they do make the sure entertaining to watch, but the rest is so ridiculous. First, when they call friends and family, to get info on the couple in the relationship, the first thing a friend or family member would do is call the person doing the hiding and tell them what's up. Second, none of it makes sense. Telsea was hiding her boyfriend from her soon-to-be ex-husband. When she dropped her kids off at his house, the boyfriend always stayed in the car. So, her kids never once, told their dad that their mom was living with another guy, who they really get along with? Never slipped one time? The editing is also REALLY bad. It's just over the top too faked to watch.
Let me start off by saying I love cheese acting/low budget movies. However, this TV show has the WORST acting I have ever seen. I have seen more realistic acting froma play my child was in in the 3rd grade. The story lines are so over the top, there is zero emotion, and they find the fakest actors you could possibly find. I love MTV Catfish but this show is an absolute trainwreck. It reminds me of the terrible acting on another garbage reality show duck dynasty. Do not waste your time or energy. I wanted to like this show, hell it might have the ability to be good. But I think MTV execs have realized, after teen mom and jersey shore, that they can basically film anything and people will watch it.
