This is one of the greatest movie from Tamilnadu and the new debut director Saravanan made a fantastic work. Actor all done there role that what ever they want to give. Cinematography is excellent Songs and background music are colorful and have good remembrance. From the movie starts at the cleaning of the buses, story of the movies travels with the bus that happen before the that particular days. A small love story the bus and that boy feels too much after she die in the accident its heart touching. and the couple man don't want to leave his wife she traveled with her and finally died in the accident all people who inspired in the movie will give some tears.

Another awesome movie directed by a newcomer

Finally, another good movie after Eeram that shows perfection in nearly all fields.

Fox star company has co-produced this movie. & the director has done an excellent job.

Engeyum Eppodhum is a road trip revolving around two love couples. Most part movie is shot inside two buses which involve in a tragedy nearing the end. The movie also features beautifully portrayed Flashbacks, and good music. The 1st Half shows the love story between the two couples, and the Second Half of the movie shows a tragical Accident which occurs when the buses collide Head-on

Hats off to the team and A.R.Murugadoss for making this movie and setting a mark in Tamil cinema

    A MUST Watch

First things first, since there is no provision for voting 9.5,i had no choice but this film definitely deserves it. The film starts with a terrible accident scene which is shown very creatively. This scene arises several questions as to what is in store. The Disjoint Narration shown is awesome. There are two main stories running parallel, but even their projection is beautiful. The Director must be given kudos for his brave effort in putting something original on screen without the fear of any repulsive response. The story is very well written and is very enthralling. The actors did a very fine job of absorbing the story and presenting their self on screen. Previously I have seen many good Tamil films but this one STANDS OUT. A must watch for any film lover who want a quality film. The Sound Effect is also very good, specially in the accident sequence. The Visual Effect is mesmerizing. Overall,a very good and strong story with good performances and above all A SUPERB DIRECTION. This is a film which has the capability of Winning Several International Awards if projected properly. WELL DONE M.Saravanan Sir.

    Outstanding movie in Tamil cinema

Bouquet to debutant filmmaker Saravanan for etching out a film that speaks about feelings of people and the value of every single life. With handful of characters, the director has come out with a flick that is filled with fun, joy, tears and other human emotions. What begins as a journey in a bus takes twists and turns, and when we think all is well that ends well, a shocking incident happens. But hold on! There is no preachy stuff as Saravanan manages to lace the message with lighter moments in the film. For many of us road mishaps mean just numbers - the number of people perished in such accidents. Rarely we get to see the colorful life the victims enjoyed without knowing that death is coming close to them. 'Engeyum Eppothum' attempts to take a closer look at such people. In a nutshell, it is the story of two couples who end up romancing in contrasting manner. They happen to meet at one point where a tragedy strikes in their lives. Sarva as a suave city youth fits the bill well. His cool and casual expressions are adequate for the role. Ananya as an innocent bubbly rustic girl who comes to city is impressive. Anjali as a out-spoken and straightforward girl in love with Jai is tailor-made for the character. All the characters are well-written and neatly conceived by the director. They resemble close to real-life. The narration keeps one engaged all through. The contrasting love, loss, gain and sorrow are beautifully portrayed. R Velraj's cinematography and catchy background score of debutant Sathya add solidity to the proceedings. All said, 'Engeyum Eppothum' is a whiff of fresh air in Tamil cinema. Saravanan has certainly made his mentor A.R Murugadoss, who has produced this film along with Fox Star Studios, proud. Finally my rating for the movie is 10/10

Very good movie in the present movie ambiance

Engeyum and eppodhum (anywhere anytime) is a very good movie. I give 8/10 for this movie. I do not like Tamil movies with larger than life characters uttering some inane punch dialogue and interspersed with stupid dances and unnatural fight scenes. . I am an old man and not comfortable with the cinema hall ambiance of youngsters hooting and shouting and instantly responding to what is going on, on the screen. I saw this film on TV.

The story is already written by others. I am impressed with the fine acting by all the four main protagonists. Amudha(ananya) is a very lovable educated character from a semi urban area always suspicious of city guys. As a contrast, Manimekhalai(Anjali) is no-nonsense city girl and a professional. She approaches the marriage, not purely emotionally but realistically thinking of all the pitfalls of falling in love. Again contrast to Manimekhalai, Kadiresan(Jai) shy not fashionable introvert. One more contrast both to Amudha and also to Kadiresan , Gautham is a suave stylish but serious character. The episodes are well etched. Dialogues are natural. The acting of all the four characters is equally excellent with no overacting. All of these four when they grow old can remember this film as a hallmark in their career. Thank god, there are no irritating punch dialogue. I do not remember the songs, but I am of the view songs are not essential to a good film. There are no stupid dances nor are there any fight scenes. There is no fight director and perhaps there is no dance director in this film. It is most pleasant to see no evil looking villains with new methods of torturing the protagonists. The editing is excellent. All in all a very good film and Tamil cinema needs more such films than Padayappas, Enthirans etc. I concede that Padayappas and Enthirans will fill the coffer of the producers but these films are forgettable after a few years. .
