During the recent premiere of her Canadian drama Seven Veils, star Amanda Seyfried chatted with some fans and, when asked about the sequel possibility, cheekily said that she thinks a sequel might be happening. Has there been a more unlikely series of horror films than the V/H/S franchise? By the very nature of the sub-genre, anthology films don’t typically lend themselves to being series as even the segments within their own movies are almost always unrelated. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the remastered version of Shaun of the Dead will be available on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Legion star Dan Stevens will lead the upcoming season of AMC's anthology The Terror. Titled The Terror: Devil in Silver, the show draws inspiration from Victor Lavalles novel, The Devil in Silver, and centers around a man named Pepper, played by Stevens, who is wrongly committed to a psychiatric hospital. While there, he encounters a terrifying creature rumored to be the devil itself, that's begun preying on the patients. Pepper must band together with other patients to fight this entity while also questioning his own sanity and battling the dismissive staff.

AMC Networks announced that their horror anthology series The Terror will get a third season. Season three will consist of six episodes, which will debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2025.

The Terror: Devil in Silver is based on Victor Lavalle’s hit horror novel The Devil in Silver. Lavalle himself is co-executive producing and co-writing the series with Chris Cantwell (Halt and Catch Fire), and Karyn Kusama will direct the first two episodes, as well as co-executive produce. Kusama also directed Jennifer’s Body, The Invitation and two episodes of Showtime’s horror series Yellowjackets.

Also executive producing is Dan Stevens, who plays the lead role of Pepper. Pepper is an everyday working-class guy who is mistakenly committed to a mental institution called New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, which is filled with “the people society would rather forget.”
