A sweet Lovecraft-ian spin on modern war and sci-fi

It's a chilling story of a group of spec ops soldiers in pursuit of their goal. A cave, insurgents, a hostage, a harrowing discovery that turns into something, if your imagination allows it, that is supposedly supposed to drive any man insane at the mere thought.

It's really cool. A bit mundane of an ending, but what a cool reveal.

Leaves me craving more

So far I've been very impressed having binged this season the moment it came out. Personally this is one of my favorite episodes of the season just by the sheer brutality found in this one. Makes me feel like I'm in a call of duty cutscene which I LOVE. Although predictable at times, the ending really opens a window for so much more exploration, just like many of these episodes making me crave for more. What these animators are doing is one of a kind, and I really hope these short of animations motivate future shows in a similar format because I for one would binge those in a heartbeat.

Stop Making Afghanistan shorts

Why are writers obsessed with Afghanistan and or military? They are boring AF. It's was a stupid war that should only be spoken of in shame by the US.

A fantastic idea with little time.

I loved the idea of this episode. It had such an amazing progression that I definitely did not expect. The beginning of a seemingly normal military mission turned sci-fi in the best way possible. The only flaw, of course, is the time. Everything wouldn't feel rushed if it had even 10 more minutes. Honestly, this is a story worthy of consideration of a full length film. Definitely worth a watch, either way.

Ending killed this episode for me

Or rather, lack of ending... Pretty decent one, not a bad story, decent way the story is told, well established characters for something this short... BUT... Too many questions left unanswered and eventually makes you ask yourself "what exactly was I watching here and why"?
