Before you dive into my review of this movie, I must disclose two factors that influenced my perception. Firstly, Robinson Crusoe is my all-time favorite story, which naturally predisposed me to like this movie from the beginning. Secondly, I have a fondness for apocalyptic movies of all kinds, further adding to my initial positive bias. That being said, I found this film to be quite enjoyable. In fact, I've already watched it three times over the past three months.
However, after my most recent viewing last night, I noticed that the movie's charm has somewhat diminished. Upon reflection, I believe this feeling is largely attributed to the nostalgia associated with the movie as a whole, particularly the soundtrack, which, in my opinion, beautifully captures the essence of music from the past decade or so.
While my initial predisposition due to my love for Robinson Crusoe and apocalyptic movies led me to find this film decent and enjoyable, repeated viewings have revealed certain shortcomings. Despite its appealing soundtrack and nostalgic elements, I must admit that upon closer examination, much of the story throughout this movie lacks direction and substance.

It is a very nice location, made me want to go there and explore and it looked a lot like the first episode of Outer Banks 3rd season where they are stranded on an island but seemed to be doing pretty well
The acting was great, the story was entertaining and somewhat current with the COVID pandemic and the "last of us" apocalyptic premise.
Unfortunately there were some flaws that should have been and could have been easily avoided in the editing room, such as the big sailing boat docked on the background of a "supposedly" deserted Island and the microphones taped on the back of the main characters.

Cara was the highlight of the film for me. I believe the actress who portrayed her is Sofia. Her performance was so powerful in bringing more depth to the relationship and arch into the film. Not only that, her own character story was so poignant that really moved me when she spoke about her past. There was so much specificity and clarity of thought that really provided so much backbone to the central story of this film. It was intriguing to watch her subtle and nuanced expressions throughout the film that conveyed so much subtext and emotions that could not be spoken. Can't wait to see her future works now!!!
Why or who describes these movies. Firstly I'm so over watching movies for the LGBTQ community. What has that got to do with anything else. This film is boring, nothing to do with the end of the world, it's just a load of wasted time. Don't bother unless you have troubles sleeping as this so called movie will help you sleep. Time I'll never get back. If you want to watch a pathetic lesbian version of Blue Lagoon, then this is the one for you. If you want to watch a film that has no substance then again this is for you.
4 people on a boat and one asks the other after stranded who are you? As if they didn't get to meet each other earlier. It's just so poorly written.

No pun intended - also no Friday and other stuff you may remember from movies with a similar theme. On the other hand you do get two lovely (very good looking) women ... this may check a lot of boxes for those watching horror/thriller movies like this one. And before you cry that you may want to have a handsome fellow in there too ... well there is one.
Now the core are the two females though - don't expect this to show anything - too enticing. This keeps everything at a PG level. You can love someone and live with someone and no one will ever see your skin I reckon. No pun intended - because what lies beneath is two quite gullible individuals ... so gullible you may feel the need to shake them up and ask them, if they seriously are that oblivious ... anyway, I've seen worse movies and this looks good (women and location wise that is) - so there is that (cinematography) and all that.
