Chakkar

Suspense-thrillers are very rare in Lollywood. When I heard about this movie, I decided to watch it as a huge fan of this genre. I was hoping for something refreshing from Pakistani filmmakers but unfortunately, this film proved to be a huge disappointment.

The main plot of the movie makes absolutely no sense at all in the first place. Even if we ignore numerous plot holes in the name of cinematic liberties, the lazy writing and poor direction will surely bother you throughout. Cheesy dialogues make thigs even worse.

First half an hour or so does manage to grab your attention. But pace of the film drops as the it proceeds and events become far from convincing.

When we reach the climax, what we are served is several twists and turns reminding us a few Abbas-Mustan movies. However, these twists feel just for the sake of it and hardly convincing. Everybody is manipulating with someone and double crossing other.

Acting by leading cast is also below average.

On the whole, Chakkar is a poorly made film that is not going to contribute anything in the progression of Pakistani cinema.

What an amazing murder mystery, the storyline was intriguing and the suspense was well maintained. Loved the plot twist, hats off to the incredible cast, especially Neelam Muneer. Pakistani cinema is for sure progressing in the right direction.

Finally something different to watch. Storyline and thrill was unpredictable. It's good to see Pakistan's film industry progressing with such amazing content.!!

Script is a bit predictable (with some glaring plot holes) but something different offered by Yasir Nawaz. Pakistani cinema progressing in the right direction.

Ahsan Khan is undoubtedly one of the greatest and Most humble Superstar ever. Neelum did a wonderful acting. I can write so much but I suggest you to watch it 💕
