    I had a blast!

Gorgeously filmed, fun and poignant movie! With vibrantly optimistic colour schemes, especially for outdoor scenes and cultural-influenced wardrobe. Wicked framing, and very intriguing moving shots! I love this movie from start to finish. Including the moment of the actual finale, when my response was WTF!?

I wanna highlight a few actors who gave really interesting energy with their performances: starting with Alex Winter (who i hadn't kept up with lately, but now wanna go see what else he's done recently). Mario D'Leon, who gave a curious performance that I adore, especially his body language and movement. Andy Allo is a very charming badass scene stealer. And finally the fantastic Alok Vaid-Menon who arguably could be the star of the film, tied with the actual hero, Désiré Mia. Which reminds me to mention that Alok delivers one of my two fav lines in the film, "The Joan Rivers of the apocalypse"; the other fav line being "Darth Karen".

The score took me by surprise in several scenes! I gotta admit I've gotten used to big-time flicks using predictable music and sound effects during tense fight scenes, so I found myself on several occasions shaking myself out of a dreamy state while watching artful martial arts fights, realizing I was entranced by brilliantly imagined and orchestrated musical scores!

Love the overall concept of this story! It's something to focus on in the real world for sure: apt and relevant. But also I had a blast watching it! I felt like a kid so many times throughout, nostalgic excitement from when I used to rent "karate movies" in the 80s.

Loved it, gonna watch it again tomorrow.

    P. S. Look for a silent Lexi cameo about halfway through!

    This is pretty bad

This plays out in a futuristic world but except some basic exposition you will be hard pressed to see any sort of visual representation of the future.

This suggests a limited budget, thats fine you can style it out a bit... Or you try and make things look futuristic in a really cheap and poor way. This is mainly done by putting large lcd screens on random objects ( Otherwise known as green screen ).

It looked good in Running man ( 1987 ) so why not.

The premise is an ultimate fighter tournament, fighting for honour but more so their faith !!

I'm not entirely sure how this all works but the people on the big screens say it does and the big cheeses running the show believe it will.

The fighters train and its looking quite good, an outdoor mountainous/enter the dragon setting looks promising. Rather than train however our hero watches more exposition on the big screen on the side of a hut.

The actual ultimate fighting takes place in a blue warehouse/gymnasium with them jigsaw foam mats on the floor, surrounded by only a few reporters and the fighters ' trainers ' sat on gym benches around the edges of the warehouse/gymnasium.

So obviously the fighting is going to be superb.... Im afraid not, ive seen better performances on an amateur stage. Slow choreographed fights where every kick and punch looks like its part of a strange dance.

Luckily there isn't too many fights to get through.

There is however lots and lots of political and faith based conversations between everyone else in this film. Their own beliefs really don't matter though because Absolute Dominion will be won by the victor !!

Oh Alex Winter is in this but not ( so far ) credited with a character name ( he plays the coach btw )

I knew it was going to be a dud from the first 10 minutes but I had 'faith' and stuck with it. By the end I'd lost faith that anyone involved in this film had a clue what they were doing.

    A 2 or 3 out of 10.

Great movie about an amazing concept

In this futuristic yet not-so-far future, the premise is peace on the planet, though beautifully filmed sequences and great acting.

All the title roles are done authentically, credibly, and to great effect. The characters engage us from the very start, all the way until the unexpected ending... It was about time films like this hit the screens. I am so glad to see this and will recommend it to friends and others alike. Do not miss, you must watch this great Lexi Alexander signed flick. Your time and dime will be well spent on this one.

Humanity needs a chance, and this film offers the solution.

    Excellent!

From the beginning this movie engulfs you. Its futuristic premise is realistic and presents a compelling picture of what our current stances on religion are as they proceed forward. As we now see war in the middle east and countries banning public prayer it's reasonable to think that this can happen. The acting is great. The story line is superb. The unknown fighter winning the people over and everyone rallying towards his victory. I need a part two. I would love to know how Segan performs in the upcoming battle and how the powers that be attempts stop him in uniting people through their beliefs. It's sad that it didn't rate higher as I hated for it to end. It left me wanting more. I am not a movie critic but definitely a movie watcher and this movie had great editing and it progressed beautifully.
