The confusing posters of the film stressing more upon the 3D logo instead of the title gave a clear message about the confidence of its makers before the theatrical release of DANGEROUS ISHHQ.Besides, Vikram Bhatt (after re-discovering the horror formula of success), making a film on Past Life Regression as a comeback project for Karishma Kapoor somehow didn't sound that exciting to me, keeping in mind all the recent movies of the director.
Still I watched it and so did many others in the theater expecting at least something exciting out of the rare combination of Past Life Regression plot, Karishma Kapoor and Himesh Reshamiya. But as it got over, there was only one question in my mind that, "Why on earth, Karishma Kapoor chose such a low grade movie to be her comeback venture in the Industry?" The question was posted at Facebook and it got a very meaningful reply from an experienced friend, who commented, "For the same reason she chose "Prem Qaidi" to be her debut film in the Industry." And I think that should explain a lot to the readers about her DANGEROUS ISHHQ which undoubtedly remains one of the weakest & worthless projects released in the year 2012.
In short, the review is clearly written in the film's title itself which warns the viewers that it's highly dangerous to see it in theaters spending your time, money and efforts together. The subject of Past Life Regression, which could have easily been the strength of the movie, actually proves to be a curse for it. The poorly written screenplay taking the viewer into different eras of the past, fails to impress completely and the film simply appears to be a B class project in all its departments ranging from writing, acting, direction and presentation. Probably that was the reason why many people were not on their seats in the second half as the film started post its intermission.
As an experienced actress Karishma Kapoor tries her best to lift many lifeless sequences but in the process loses the battle. In reality, she shouldn't have done this film as her comeback vehicle. Rajniesh Duggal continues to be in search of his talent and Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, Aarya Babbar, Samir Kochhar, Ravi Kishan and more just perform as professionals working on an assignment. Himesh Reshamiya gives another average soundtrack of his career with nothing worth remembering. But more importantly don't get fooled by the 3D logo placed prominently in its promotions. The film had no need of 3D technology at all and its just a gimmick to bring in more viewers into the theater. In fact DI also gives out a clear lesson both for the producers as well as the viewers that 3D format is not required and should not be used in every or any kind of film without giving it a serious thought. It's all waste of time, energy and effort to use it for a film like DI.
Ending on a lighter note, Past Life Regression might be a therapy or method through which people try to find their peace. But in DANGEROUS ISHHQ it actually takes away that precious possession of the viewer in a more cruel way. So it will be real dangerous if you opt for this past life Ishhq in the theater.

I was being pigeonholed in my apartment this Friday and decided to rent out this DVD to kill time. Used to be a big fan of Karisma in her bygone days, man what a disappointing performance. Everything about the movie sucked, the badly edited script, the shoddy acting, the irrelevant characters. This includes Karisma's co-star. I won't even Google to find out the name, only thing I can remember he has such a clumsy wooden, expressionless face. They were a gross mismatch even if I take Karisma as some sort of cougar not considering the huge age difference, she really looked as if babysitting her boyfriend. Jimmy Shergill, a fine actor otherwise, looked tired and worn out, probably anguished with subjecting himself to Karisma's comeback tantrums. Seriously, Karisma didn't find a single co-star for her comeback movie. I heard her behavior isn't very good so that makes people keep distance.
Only the most pathetic, lazy mind could come with a script like dangerous ishq.

A very unique story. Never seen concept in Bollywood till 2014. I liked the thrill and suspense. Movie may have gone flop but after so many recent waste Bollywood movies this one still has story. It has only 1 good song hence the rating. Karishma was fantastic. I wish Bollywood makes more of such suspense movies. People who r sleeping in the theater are either too tired or brainless.
I have to say I'm truly shaken by this movie. I didn't expect at all that it would be this good.I have always been a great fan of "karishma kapoor" whether it is in "dil to pagal hai" or my favorite "zubeidaa".Se has been my favorite actress since childhood and since i opened my eyes to Bollywood and I have to say no one, I repeat no one could have played this part better than her.The 4 regressions are each beautifully detailed and well constructed and all very very meaningful,my favorite one being the one with he punjabi girl and the scene in which she has to climb into a true of dead bodies and lie among them sends chills down my spine.I am very surprised that this movie received such negative reviews however the thing is we have become used to watching boy girl love song trouble song plan song and marriage song that we are unaccepting to a different refreshing story like like the one of dangerous ishq. The soundtrack is beautiful no anarkali disco chali no item song but it deeply touches your soul a power possessed by the great "himesh reshmaiyaa". The makeup and costumes could not be faulted no matter how hard I tried. Karishma was looking radiant as usual and perfect for each regression .The makeup covered 5 centuries perfectly.
Although I would say that you require an IQ above 2 to understand and appreciate such a movie which unfortunately most people don't posses. All in all a terrific movie must watch and the twist at the end was spectacular. In conclusion sound, story, costume, makeup, location all great. Couldn't ask for anything better.

The expectations from this movie were definitely really high because the legendary Kapoor girl was about to appear on the big screen after taking a sabbatical of 6 years and in real means almost 9 years. With names like Karishma Kapoor and Vikram Bhatt people expect DI to be an enthralling experience all around. And to me it did prove to be a path breaking movie. The prowess with which Karishma carries this tough role on her shoulders, she deserves a big laud and many accolades in the end year award functions. The direction is way too good and i can assure that it is Bhatt's best work after Raaz. Though the 3D work is good quality but apologetically there is no much scope for 3D effects. The film could have been made without 3D as well. Storyline and Final Verdict! Movie is about past life regression and hallucinations. If you don't believe in such things, this movie would make you believe in reincarnation of true lovers. Such a flawless love story, it deserve 8 stars and an additional star for Karishma's to date best performance after Zubeidaa! Go for it!
