Pretty Rosebud

Actress Chuti Tiu blew me away from beginning to end in this gem of an indie feature. Chuti portrays this character well and the film itself is great with an excellent editor and storyline. A great drama that takes you in deep into the life of a frustrated sexually unsatisfied career woman that is married to a man that is lazy and hasn't worked a job in 2 years. The best part is she comes from a super religious family and still does not care to do whatever she has to, to satisfy her needs. Great watch! Recommended!

An excellent recommended Drama film !

It's a stunning, lovely film filled with plenty of cultural references very intriguing but as a campaign doesn't work much . The purpose of taking a small time - though long for a commercial - and watching it works perfectly, it's vivid and entertaining. Pretty Rosebud - Creative and engaging . Originality goes beyond anything. A real fun to watch. 10/10

Pretty Rosebud is not your typical relationship drama. The story unfolds as the lead character is a product of a marriage of two cultures; one more prominent than the other. It shows the influences of the old country and the clashing of the new ways of their offspring. Claire also has the troubles of a broken marriage and tries to pick up the pieces and drown herself in her work as most workaholics do.

The story is very relatable to the first born children of immigrants in the US and the story is all too real. The actors did a phenomenal job of taking the dialog and made this story come to life. I was compelled to see what happens next. Each scene was beautifully shot and the production value was close to some indie studio productions.

This indie darling and festival award winner is definitely worth the watch. I'd keep an eye out for this one.

I applaud the filmmaking team in taking a risk in making this film and... wow did it work. Great reversal from what I would term... a well worn storyline of predictability. Terrific acting by the lead actress. She was outstanding! I also enjoyed how this film was directed. It moved at a very good pace. You could really feel "Cissy's" internal conflict and what she was going through struggling with morals, cultural traditions and her wants. Certainly worth the watch. A thumbs up from me.

Lead actress Chuti Tiu is amazing. The character she plays is challenged with balancing her career, family and the diffficulties of a marriage that is clearly falling apart. I find the topic of this film is all to real in our society today and Chuti's choice of this character is spot on and exceptional!! Actor/Director Oscar Torre displays his true talents on both levels creating a canvas for this great cast to bring it all to life!! Bravo to the great cast and true vision of the creators of this great film. George.😊
