The resurrection of Keanu Reeves post-John Wick was so swift and thunderous that it's become actively difficult to imagine a time when he wasn't in the Hall of Fame of Badass Action Icons. This isn't to claim we can only see him as a killing machine, as he's clearly proven his deceptive range in the past decade, being surprisingly convincing as both a Canadian daredevil toy and as a pretentious parody of himself. Reeves' current persona is such a convincing about-face that it's made us forget the past times he's played killers, albeit less successful ones. The best instance of this was in I Love You to Death, Lawrence Kasdan's largely forgotten farce in which Reeves plays a burnout loser who spectacularly sucks at being a killer-for-hire in one of the funniest performances of his career.

Evil Season 4 Episode 2 ratcheted up the tension as many of our favorite characters found themselves distressed.

International and indie film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Korean film Escape From Mogadishu. It will open in theaters in the U.S. and Canada August 6 following a July 28 release in Korea.

The film is based on true events and chronicles the harrowing experience of bitterly opposed North and South Korean diplomats trapped in the city of Mogadishu at the advent of the Somalian civil war in 1991. The dramatic years-long conflict, which exploded following the rebel-led ouster of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, was introduced to American audiences through blockbuster film Black Hawk Down, which picks up the narrative in war-torn Mogadishu in 1993.

“The film portrays this almost unfathomable event that throws the horrors of war into sharp relief,” said Well Go CEO Doris Pfardrescher. She noted the production team’s careful study of surviving embassy records and historical accounts to create the most realistic possible depiction.

All last week, Danny Trejo was being heralded as a real-life superhero when he came rushing to the aide of an overturned car at the scene of a dangerous and potentially deadly accident in Los Angeles. Along with the young Monica Jackson, the actor and his underaged helper managed to free a 5-year-old boy who was hanging upside down in his carseat.

The boy was sitting in the back seat of his grandmother's SUV when another car T-boned the vehicle, going through a red light and crossing into the intersection. This caused the SUV to flip on its top.
