This joker is probably the most balanced combination between comic accuracy and realism. We are talking about a joker that probably fell into the chemicals and that's why he is looking like that. We need a genius mind, freak, clown prince of crime, neither a supermodel nor a gangster nor a sophisticated guy like the previous versions. He is something new and promising by a very talented actor.

The Batman is everything I wanted. Thank you Matt Reeves, casts and creators! Matt Reeves is The GOAT. Wow I can't believe how perfect this film is! Cinematography is amazing. Score is amazing. Story is amazing. Only 5 minutes of Barry's Joker, but you can see so much potential.

I know this is only a 5 minute deleted scene, but I fell in love with Barry Keoghan as I watched. He seems like he'd be a great Joker just like Paul Dano was a great Riddler. I could tell (even tho it was blurry) by the facial expressions and movements that he really could pull it off. I waited and waited for the most important part of being joker and held my breath hoping he'd nail it...the laugh. The end came and we are shown his smile which was fantastic (great makeup) and then Barry laughed. I loved it. The cackling, steadiness, volume, pitch...just loved it all. I'd very much like to see him as joker more in the future.
Fine for a deleted scene, but they didn't need this in an already 3 hour film. The making friends at the end of the film was good enough. Now I personally love Delete scenes and thought this was a great little kid bit to see before seeing the actual film.
Good scene! Very atmospheric and well executed.good performances. Good job. Good one, I like it. No more to say about it. Later! Later. Ok. 8 out of 10.

- TriviaAlthough Barry Keoghan is simply credited as "Unseen Arkham Prisoner," it's obvious that he is the Joker. Director Matt Reeves has revealed that in The Batman's universe, Keoghan's Joker has had his scars from birth and his permanent smile is the result of a congenital disease, so he can't stop smiling. Batman has already encountered Joker in his first two years and they have a history together, although he isn't calling himself Joker yet. The obscured makeup was based on Conrad Veidt's appearance in L'homme qui rit (1928). Veidt's role in this movie was the main influence for writers/creators Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson to create Joker.
