Summary
Reviewers say 'Daredevil: Born Again' garners mixed reactions, applauding Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio's performances and mature storytelling. The darker themes and intense action sequences are praised, yet pacing issues and inconsistent tone are criticized. Some find the MCU integration and CGI distracting, while others appreciate new characters and cultural representation. The series is a noteworthy MCU addition, though it may not fully replicate the original's magic for all fans.

'Daredevil: Born Again' had a rocky start to its creation, but it pulled off a rather impressive season to continue the incredible Netflix series. It has its faults and flaws, but it really hit its stride towards the end giving us a solid season overall. Charlie Cox is still an incredible Matt/Daredevil, while Vincent D'Onofrio shows why he is the one and only choice for Kingpin. Season 1 ends with a pretty explosive setup for season 2 that definitely left us wanting more.
In the end, 'Daredevil: Born Again' moved our characters forward from the Netflix series into its own MCU world with heart, drama, action, and some of the most brutal violence we've seen in a Marvel property.

Great that it's back. Love daredevil and punisher. Storyline rushed, they could have done a lot more in it and with muse. More episodes for more story would have been the difference with a better review. Did prefer to some of the other marvel series that have come out as well - wasn't just another in the franchise had some story to it. Would love to see Jessica jones come back too, their dynamic in defenders was great
Different also from the Netflix series which was storyline and time to enjoy and appreciate the characters. Hopefully future seasons will have more of this instead of a rush to a cruscendo.

As I've watched 7 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, I feel like something was quite off. I don't know exactly what, maybe it's the fast pacing, the rushed dialogues, the toned-down antagonist, and especially the lack of brutal fights, grittiness, and those darker tones.
So I started rewatching the Netflix version, and damn, it just felt so much more layered. The character introductions actually felt connected to the audience. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I've never read the comics, so I'm not sure if this newer tone is closer to the source material or not.
But for me, and honestly, for a lot of people, the Netflix version is the Daredevil we fell in love with. That depth, that grittiness, the emotional weight... it's kind of missing from the Disney one.
Especially with all the disappointing Marvel shows that have dropped on Disney+ most of which became forgettable within a week, except Loki and WandaVision, and that's mainly because those characters were already loved.
I just feel like people are too scared to admit that Daredevil: Born Again isn't really that good, especially because Daredevil has become such a beloved character.

Back after almost a decade, Daredevil: Born Again is a bloody delight and a worthy successor to the Netflix show. While it's not perfect, it certainly sets up a thrilling future for the character.
While the first half of the show was slow in pace with Murdock being a just lawyer and Fisk trying to be a good person and a citizen, the second half brings the action, thrill and signature brutality which made us attached to this show in the first place.
Without any comparison, Born Again might never reach the heights of it's predecessor, but it's still a worthy follow up. Cox remains a magnetic lead, although perhaps less so than D'Onofrio, who is the main reason to watch. An appreciation to the makers for not overdoing this series just to appease larger crowd, like they have been doing recently with their movies and series, Born Again stays honest to the format and delivers a strong, although not perfect, follow-up to an extraordinary superhero series.
My Rating : 8/10.

I truly wasn't sure what to expect with the new Disney+ series, but so far with this season I'm not disappointed. I thought it was going to be turned into some boring, watered-down, kid-friendly show but I was definitely wrong about that!! Lots of action and pleased to see all the characters returned. Also looking forward to more of The Punisher and the next super villians of the series. Also hoping Karen makes another return at some point. Very happy with the show so far, can't wait for the next season. I honestly don't understand any of the complaints and I'm sorry I finished the new season so quickly!
