This remake/reboot had high hopes and expectations to succeed and bring NBA Jam back to life for fans and for a new generation to experience. However it failed to recapture the magic with bad AI and a lack of features to keep players amused. A new digital download version for PS3 and Xbox 360 called NBA Jam: On fire edition improved the games A.I and made the game much more fun and enjoyable, however it was not enough to rejuvenate major interest in NBA Jam to order another follow up.
