I can't believe that "The Exes" make it to the 4th season! I don't mean that this is a bad comedy. It's OK-ish. But the networks have canceled faaar more interesting and funny comedies out there.
Anyway. This is a painless "roommates" kind of comedy. 3 men who recently divorced are forced to live under the same roof and across the apartment of the female lawyer who helped them. Obviously the 3 men have totally different personalities and as I remember there were some conflicts in the 1st season but I guess there are more like a family now.
The leads are not too charismatic. Second class more like it.
Most of the jokes are dating related. To tell you the truth I'm kind of bored by the "I am the man and I have a hot date" kind of jokes and the semi-funny pickup lines in a bar.
Another thing that always bothers me in these sitcoms is the fake laughing track which unfortunately is present in this show too.
Overall: It's not a bad series but I hardly think that it is worth the time to watch it regularly.

This show is a hidden gem that I came across by accident on prime. The title didn't sound appealing but after only a few episodes the characters grew on me and I couldn't get enough of them. This show is mostly fun, not exactly the laugh out loud type (how many of those are there?) but there were quite a few funny ones. If nothing else it's bound to entertain. Comedy tastes vary but give a try.
The show is pretty good. The writing is very hit or miss. Some episodes are incredibly well written and others are a little weak which means the cast has to carry the script. A great comedic actor can make the most mundane jokes funny and that's what Leah Remini has brought to this show. She's a tremendous addition to an already strong cast. Her comedic timing and delivery is exceptional. If anything, the show's writing (and maybe direction?) hinders her and the rest of the cast. That being said, I'm gaining a tremendous amount of respect for her as a comedian and an actress and I'd love to see more of her on this show! I'd love to see a few episodes where Remini and Johnston take the lead in steering a plot... I get an awesome Lucy & Ethel vibe from them. Pair those two up in zany exploits and hilarity will most certainly ensue!
I'd give it a ten, but it's still finding it's legs. But it has the possibility of becoming a great show. The writing is superb and the acting is getting better in every episode. The cast is fun, especially the women. I'm rooting for it to succeed, I hope the network gives them enough of a chance. Kristen Johnston was great in 3rd Rock, and she's great in this. I was hoping Donald Faison would reappear in something fun, and he has. Kelly stables, as 6" Holly's 4"10' assistant is great. The other two guy characters are so far, just kind of annoying. No fault of the actors, I just think maybe that boring men are difficult characters to play without making them annoying. Overall I like the show and find myself laughing out loud. If I had one suggestion, it would be that they could use another character or two.
One of the best sitcoms out there. It's actual scripted television with multiple cameras and talented actors, filmed in front of a live studio audience. Kristen Johnston leads a brilliant and hysterical ensemble cast. The adorable Kelly Stables (2 1/2 Men) is the 4' 11" assistant Eden, to Kristen's 6 ft Holly. The sight gags here alone are almost worth the price of admission. Kristen plays a divorce attorney who opens her second apartment to 3 ex-clients and proceeds to mother hen them, while having love life difficulties of her own. She's reunited with Wayne Knight, her 3rd Rock from the Sun love interest (best known as Newman from Seinfeld). Donald Faison (Scrubs) as the resident 'player' and David Bascher as the third of the three EXES. Their chemistry gets better with every episode and the writing is top notch. One of the few shows I watch the same night it airs.
