I've been listening to Eve for about 2 years now, and I have payed a lot of attention to the details and story's of his music videos, and have researched his manga a bit. I loved how many of his songs were in the movie, and when the songs came on it would have the perfect lyrics for what was currently going on in the movie.
Another thing is that there were so much references to his MV's, Hitosume, 'Hitosume means one eyed' (from dramaturgy, literature nonsense, etc) has been one of the main focuses in this film. An example is when the song "How To Eat Life" started playing, there were many people gathered around a table, just like in the MV for "How To Eat Life"
I may just be bias for Eve, but Eve got a lot of screen time in this movie, which made me very happy, and all the songs in the show were preformed live.
At the end of the day this is really a perfect movie for anybody, Eve fan or not, the story was well thought out, the characters were pretty good, and the references had me hooked. So 10/10 movie!

I honestly didn't expect anything and decided to watch it on spec. I'm very glad I did. To cover the basics: 1) The music was excellent being primarily a progressive Japanese pop with a side dish of jazz. This is a musical genera that has something for everyone. 2) The live action, CGI, and grease pencil anime were top notch, likely shot, designed, and rendered in 4K. It was spectacular eye candy and beautifully edited. It flowed wonderfully with the music. 3) The live action and characters were skillfully intertwined into the CGI and anime. They delivered exactly what the story needed.
A younger audience might not appreciate this or even care. This feature took me back to the days of movies built around music in the late 60's and early 70's. It was typified by stream of consciousness action combined with music. This genera had a less than complimentary name. Still, this movie fit into that category beautifully. "Adam by Eve: A live in Animation" can be considered to be similar to a mashup of "Yellow Submarine", "Head", and "2000 Motels". There were huge similarities. However, 50 years makes a huge difference to the technology used to make these production and is telling. These older films do not come close to the quality exemplified by this production. If you are expecting some concise storyline then you can forget it. This is about the experience of the music combined with the visuals. If you can shut your eyes and listen to Pink Floyd while letting your mind wander then you will have a complete understanding of this entertainment genera. If you can't, you will never be capable of understanding it.
Well done Eve. I thoroughly enjoyed this production and very much welcome this long overdue return of this type of musical and visual entertainment. I was thoroughly blow away.

Not sure why the low rating, this is a long form animated music compilation. It's really good, loved watching it. Watched it twice and will probably watch it again, and again while cleaning/painting.
I love Eve, I've been listening to him for almost 3 years now and its insane how far the guy has gotten. From making hit after hit after hit with his albums and collaborations over the past few years have been a real success and to top it all off, he also did the opening for Jujutsu Kaisen which is also known as Kaikai Kitan. Now that anyone can watch the movie on Netflix, it opens a lot of opportunities for young and upcoming JP artists to make similar movies like this which would also lead them to a ton of exposure meaning they'll get a even bigger audience. Eve has shown us that in this movie, whether you're not really into his music and only know a few songs that he made is perfectly fine, and if you're also a really common JP Pop listener it'll broaden your horizons with its stunning visuals and animations by for example Studio Khara also known as the people who made Evangeline 3.0 + 1.0. In conclusion it's definitely a must watch if you're a big fan of Eve himself or a fan of Jpop in general.
A lot of stuff about dreams. I'm a huge Eve fan so if you are too I'd highly suggest it! This film is jam-packed with eve music, I think there is only one or two songs that aren't Eve songs. The mixing is incredible!

- GoofsWhen the two girls are playing the violin, both of their bows hairs are loose instead of tightened as they would be if actually playing. This may seem minor... but to a violin player this will stand out like a sore thumb, screaming "THEY'RE NOT REALLY PLAYING!"
