According to the latest reports, the Mouse House is pressing ahead to completely integrate the other streamer into Disney+ for all subscribers, planning to launch a unified streaming app for both by 2026 (via Business Insider).

Letterkenny producer New Metric Media is self-funding, producing and distributing a slate of standup comedy albums and specials, which will be known as The Eh-List. Recordings are taking place at venues across Canada.

The Letterkenny spinoff series has been renewed for a fifth season, the network confirmed in early January.

The news about Season 5 from Canadian streamer Crave came before the Season 4 premiere in February 2025. Production on the fifth season from creator Jared Keeso will start in spring 2025.

The fifth season returning cast includes Taysa Teles, Blair Lamora, Keilani Rose, Jonathan Ismael Diaby and former NHL player turned actor Terry Ryan.

A Spinoff of a Cult Hit

The series is a spinoff of the cult Canadian comedy hit Letterkenny in which Kesso simultaneously portrayed Shoresy and Wayne.

The ongoing Letterkenny spinoff Shoresy has been renewed for season 5 at Hulu, ahead of the comedy series' season 4 premiere later this year. The Canadian sitcom follows its titular character, Shoresy (Jared Keeso), as he becomes the leader of the Sudsbury Bulldogs, a hockey team with plenty to prove as they play to win, against the threat of possibly being shut down. The series has been praised for its story, performances, and comedic moments. Shoresy season 3 ended with the titular character deciding to step away from hockey, with season 4 set to explore what happens next.

Now, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed Shoresy was renewed for season 5 at Hulu, ahead of its season 4 premiere. Hulu’s Letterkenny spinoff comedy Shoresy has been renewed for a fifth season.

The greenlight from Canadian streamer Crave comes before the puck drops on the hockey-focused series’ fourth season of six episodes Feb. 26 on Hulu. Production by Canadian indie producer New Metric Media on the fifth season from creator Jared Keeso will start in spring 2025. Hulu has yet to announce an order for the series’ fifth season.

The fourth season will follow Shoresy, a foul-mouthed tough guy played by Keeso, as he explores life after hockey, and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, a struggling hockey team in a fictional hockey circuit, contend with the distractions of summer in northern Ontario.

The third season ended with Shoresy deciding to end his competitive hockey career after enduring a string of injuries, including twin head concussions. With Shoresy hanging up his skates, new storylines for Keeso’s character opened up in seasons to follow.

Hulu has announced that Crave’s Shoresy Season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, February 26 with all six new episodes available in the U.S. on Hulu. The first three seasons are now streaming on Hulu.

Canadian entertainment service Crave also revealed today that Shoresy has been renewed for a fifth season, which will go into production later this spring.

In Shoresy Season 4, Shoresy (Jared Keeso) explores life after hockey and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs contend with the distractions of summer in Sudbury. The returning cast starring alongside Jared Keeso includes Tasya Teles (The 100) as Nat, Blair Lamora (Paranormal Nightshift) as Ziigwan, and Keilani Rose (Flimsy) as Miigwan.

From, Montréal, QC, rapper Jonathan-Ismael Diaby stars as Dolo, and former NHL player, author, and actor Terry Ryan stars as Hitch. Ryan McDonell (The Crossing) stars as Michaels, and former Kahnawake Condor and Mma fighter Andrew “The Canon” Antsanen returns as Goody.

Shoresy, the spinoff series of Letterkenny, merges the sport of ice hockey with the fictional realm of television by casting many real-life professional hockey players and media pundits. Shoresy is similar to other sports comedies but tends to be more vulgar in its tone. The Canadian series follows the Sudbury Bulldogs as they risk the potential to be shut down.
