River of Dread (2005)
Four scientists, Dr. Mitch Mitchell (Dave Deshler), his wife Rosalee (Deanna Nairns), their foreign colleague Dr. Goran (F.M. Turner) and the mysterious Dr. Frank Peter (Jack Bennett) hike deep into the mountains to investigate a potentially dangerous spike in radiation...but they are unprepared for the horrors that await them in this tongue-in-cheek homage to science fiction films of the 1950's written and directed by Seneca Haynes.

    • Trivia
Shot on many of the same locations as Dirty Dancing (1987). The filmmakers were amused at the press never failing to mention the iconic '80s movie in articles about a '50s sci-fi homage.
    • Alternate versions
The 'Premiere Version' that first showed on Halloween 2005 is 58 minutes long and represents the director's first cut. A 52 minute 'Festival Version,' was created by the producers in late 2005. It contains all the same scenes but is tightened for pacing and includes special effect shots that weren't finished in time for the premiere. The DVD includes both versions.
