I really wanted to review this show. This review will be on the Wild Kratts. This show is about two brothers, Chris and Martin Kratt going on expeditions to explore animals and the wild. In many episodes the Kratt brothers use creature powers. This show is awesome and one of the best PBS Kids shows around even if it has a few problems.
The animation is really good. The character designs, the backgrounds and action scenes are really cool to look at. For instance the different habitats; like the African savanna and the North American temperate forest, the Wild Kratts crew end up in are well animated. The music is hit or miss; the background music and theme song are good. While the occasional songs are more mixed.
The writing is mostly good. The plots involving either rescuing animals, their habitat, saving Aviva's inventions are examples. Episodes can be about really well known animals like cheetahs, elephants and more; or they can be about lesser known animals like fossas, tarsiers and more. Aviva's inventions are also really cool like the creature power suits and discs. Some episodes are boring, but this show can be really funny like with the slapstick the Kratt brothers end up in.
The characters are mostly great. The main and best are the Kratt brothers (Chris and Martin) who are opposites of each other. Chris is the organized and calm brother who takes time to study animals. Martin is the more goofy brother who likes to have fun with the animals they meet. The other characters include Aviva: a smart inventor who has a lot of flaws but is likable. Koki: a sassy black woman who manages the tortuga's computers. Jimmy Z: who is a lazy eater but is the Tortuga's pilot. There is a negative review that says that Koki and Jimmy are useless, they are wrong.
The villains are mostly fun, even if they're not the best. A lot of people dislike Zach, but I like him for being funny (ex: "Mommy...GET IT OFF! Its icky feet are scratchy!") and his plans can be from turning animals into robots to stealing Aviva's inventions. There is also Donita (an animal fashion designer), Dabio (her dimwitted assistant) and Gourmand (an endangered animal chef). The characters I dislike are Paisley and Rex (flat villains whose only goals are paving and hating nature).
Wild Kratts is a cool show about cool creatures that still has some flaws. Some episodes are boring, newer seasons declining (there still good), not great songs, Paisley and Rex are flat and boring. Despite those problems, Wild Kratts is great for its animation, theme song and background music, episodes about animals and their habitats, inventions, humor, action and most of the characters. This show gets a 9/10.
I would also like to say that this show gets hiatuses a lot, especially now. But I'm patient.

I grew up watching Kratts Creatures and Zaboomafoo. I love watching this show with my kids. It's fun and educational. The Kratt brothers love what they do, and that comes across in the live action portions. The animated parts is silly and fun but still educational.
I loved the Wild Kratts as a kid, and now my son gets to enjoy them too thanks to the series being available on streaming. Any kids show that encourages children to learn about and appreciate animals and nature is good in my book. The Wild Kratts however, have taken learning to a higher and more fun level by not only having the live action sets that we were used to growing up, by adding animated adventures centered around the animals that are the focus of the show. It keeps the kids more invested, and adds some humor and action to the series. The shows also recognizes the importance of every animal in the animal kidding, from lions to earthworms. Predators that go after some of the featured animals aren't vilified as you might expect them to be, because the Kratts know that they are all part of the animal kingdom. I definitely recommend this to kids of any age; there is plenty to enjoy and learn for the whole family.
Perfect blend of fun entertainment and educational information. My kids age 2 - 9yrs love it.
