    Please don't waste your time

I couldn't make it longer than 10 minutes into this amateurish mess. The acting is horrendous-I mean, BAD!!!!!! My granddaughter's 5th grade play had better acting and better sets! This movie should be burned. I feel really sorry for whoever put the money up to make this piece of garbage. I wish I could offer more insight into the rest of the film, but as I said, I literally could not get past the first 10 minutes of it. I tried to watch it five separate times and each time I had to give up, it was actually making my skin crawl the acting was so horrendous. I can't imagine it even made a penny.

Amateurish or not a real experienced professional effort.

Actor's speech was not well developed and was rushed or delivered in a way that did not reflect real life speaking or delivery. The set was obviously a very poor portal of a late 19th century western American town. Sets were poorly made or dressed making them unrealistic in any way, the store and saloon had no attempt to be stocked in such a way that would represent real businesses of the period. The Sheriff's office was poorly furnished giving it an empty space feel. What this writer was left with was the feeling that the whole production was not quite ready for prime time as the saying goes. The town set appeared to be one of those tourist spots very much like a low rent not very well kept Calico Ghost Town in San Bernardino County. The actors all appeared to be dressed in today's standard reenactment or black powder pistol contest outfits. The Sheriffs much too often used disabling condition was just over done. The relationship between the main characters was never clear and appeared clumsy or almost wooden. It is unfortunate that a better effort at direction couldn't be made as good family fare is so far and few apart.

    Overall, a good movie

Overall, the movie was pretty good. I love western type movies.I read where Alan Autry was a distant relative of Gene Autry so this kind of a western movie is pretty much in his blood.

The movie had a blend of drama and humor that balanced out. The message of the movie is a good message - forgiveness. God's forgiveness. No greater love! If you don't mind the us of h--l and d--n in a "Christian" movie, this is a decent one to watch. I particularly didn't like the use of those words especially when my kids are watching with me. I try to read the reviews and parent guide before selecting a movie but this one did not have anything listed in the parent guide.

Like I said, overall, a pretty good movie.

    Good Message

This movie brings together two of my favorite actors - Alan Autry and David Hart. Both previously on "In the Heat of the Night". Yhey did not disappoint. A plus is Autry's wife playing the love interest. This is a decent movie done on a shoestring budget. It has a good message. I am glad to see it on the Christian channel. I will watch it again.

    • Trivia
Stuntman Jeff Dashnaw took on the film as a longtime friend of Alan Autry, and created his character on the spot when, sifting through the costume pile (costumes were in the "Saloon"), he bypassed the cowboy hats and grabbed a slightly-small derby hat. Within minutes he was the menacing Crazy Kelly.
