Big production, watchable (except for Chaplin)

Following the big-budget "Pirates" hits, came this Bluebird Films attempt at reaching a wide porn audience. At times impressive, with an endless cast list combining Chatsworth and British talent, its main defect is the presence (hamming it up parodying The Joker) of Bluebird owner Paul Chaplin, also credited with the stupid screenplay.

His partner at Bluebird - Nicholas Steele directed. He made many classic movies for Adam & Eve a decade earlier, and here we get some impressive sets, particularly a lovely fairyland setting shot in the studio. The green screen, special effects and action scenes are pretty crummy.

It boils down to one's interest in orgy scenes, an overdone feature of many Bluebird releases. For me, Chaplin's amateurish, egotistical acting ruins the show.

The UK release was cut, cuts were required to remove a verbal reference to choking during fellatio and scene of throat holding during penetration, in accordance with BBFC Guidelines, BBFC policy and the Video Recordings Act 1984, on grounds of actual/potential harm. A cut was also required to remove sight of urolagnia (woman urinating into man's face and mouth during masturbation and oral sex, and man licking the urine), in accordance with current interpretation of the Obscene Publications Act 1959, in order to obtain an R18 classification. An uncut classification was not available.
