Menunggu Waktu

For me this movie is very sensitive. The film maker brought into surface the delicate problems of the illegal immigrants. A very interesting point a view, especially, that it came directly from the illegals mostly without any hidings or blurry faces or shaded voices. The 11 minutes movie is indeed very short for such a deep theme, but i find it very intriguing. After watching the movie, my mind kept thinking ''what happen after that?'', ''How are they doing now?''. Maybe the Film makers could try to make a sequel? or maybe not, its just my curiosity. Regardless the ending, this movie would captured everyone's attention into it.

Headline: Immigrants are people who move to a new country. This documentary follows three Indonesian boys and a middle age woman being illegal immigrants in the Netherlands. Indonesia was a colony of Netherlands for 350 years until 1942. so i guess that is one reason why the Indonesian immigrants fly to the Netherlands.

I saw this short film in Filmsalat 9, the film was quite short for having a sensitive issue, but because of the direct theme it manage to capture a sense of empathy. How the boys easily explain their conflict without showing an expression of fear. Immigrants fear separation, deportation but in away they are waiting for this. ironic

it was politically nice.
