A quite disturbing but unique scenario about the poisonous/mundane "nature" of wealth. The ending is really impressive portraying the desire to be rich as an incurable mental/behavioral problem that constitutes the source of all suffering in human societies... This film is not for those who look to be entertained; it is a thought provoking story with many sociopolitical and ethical implications that will impress those who appreciate substance instead of spectacle!!! Overall, acting is above average, cinematography is adequate, directing is sufficient. I watched this with some friends and it triggered a great conversation after watching it. I definitely recommend it!!!
Hope they didn't spend more than 100 dollars to make this movie because that's about what it looks like. The writing is laughably bad, the acting feels phoned in, and the pacing is a complete disaster. Nothing good to say about it-no redeeming qualities, no interesting ideas, just a frustrating waste of time.
It honestly feels like a 13-year-old scribbled down a half-baked script in an hour, and the next day, someone decided, "Yep, let's film this." The dialogue is cringeworthy, the plot makes no sense, and whatever message they were trying to deliver gets lost in the sheer absurdity of it all.
I want my time back. Avoid this movie at all costs.

Rich Flu claims to be about an infection that causes the most hated wealthy parasites die.
This is an intriguing thought: A virus that evens the playing field. An agent sent to right all wrongs.
Surely that is a relevant topic and fertile ground for a good movie? Not really.
For instance, consider the movies "heroine" Laura Palmer.
She is inexplicably vain, superficial and possessed by delusions of superiority She is spiteful to her ex about their daughter and yet she is a terrible mother. Her friends and her social sphere consist of detestable, cringe worthy, (yet very trendy) little poseurs whose personalities and faces inspire your punching reflex.
You have to give the makers of this film credit for creating a unique vehicle. A pandemic focuses its power on the super villains of our time. Yet you cannot find anyone in the film you would wish to survive.
Yes, some despicable oligarchs perish but there are absolutely no characters in this film to admire or side with. ALL of the characters on both sides are contemptible little piggies. There is no one at all to cheer for.
You can't wait for the "heroes" to start dying and the film to end thereby ending your misery.

Laura Palmer (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is a hard charging executive and battling a divorce. She goes to meet her rich boss in Alaska where he appoints her the head of a non-profit subdivision. First, the Pope dies. More of the world's uber-rich die. There is some sort of viral disease which is killing the richest of the rich. Laura is surprised when her boss revalues her shares to be worth $900 million as the rich try to destroy their net worth.
This is a dumb high concept premise. It makes no sense, but I do try to go along with it. They do need to make the movie logic make sense around this stupid premise. It wouldn't be that hard to suppress one's net worth. One could simply donate it to the government. That's why I didn't get not going into quarantine. I do get the need to go to her daughter. So I let that go. Once the neighbors come for her, she should leave by herself. How could she put her daughter in danger? That's not reasonable. For the sake of the movie, she should go on the road alone.
Obviously, this is meant to be the reverse of the normal situation. I'm willing to let a lot of this go, but only up to a point. I do like the adventure thrills and the complicated Laura Palmer. I just don't like the non-sense in response to the non-sense premise.

One of the most stupid movies I ever seen in my life, it's so disappointing that I even decided to write it here to protect people from watching it. The main hero is such a narcissistic and stupid b**** that all the movie you're getting angry fromall of her actions and stupidity, she knows she does harm to her family but pretends that she doesn't. The whole movie is so irrational and illogical that every second you ask yourself "can it be even worse?" and yu get it! Again and again! These teeth are another story........During the whole movie I didn't have any feelings or emotions about any of it's characters....... I just want my time back.
