I honestly have to say that I loved this film ! The main thing that I loved is the whole storyline , it was pretty rich . Every scene adds perfectly one to the other . All the characters are super charismatic. Ghostface is the scariest one until date . I loved how the tension is built on every single attack ! The k*ills are super creative and this is one of those films in the franchise that surprise you every second . I feel like everything that was wrong with scream 5 , was covered with scream 6. The opening kill was extremely creative !! Overall I hope this movie gets a lot of love cause it deserves. A perfect slasher.
It over does it on the nostalgia and occasionally frustratingly undermines it own stakes but that can't stop Scream VI from being a really good sequel that's got a killer opening, a truly brutal Ghostface and a constant stream of great set pieces unfolding at a break neck pace.
It doesn't feel that meta, especially in comparison to its predecessor but one of Scream VI's greatest strengths is truly doubling down on the whodunit/r rated Scooby Doo vibe that the series has and is always at its best at when embraced.
The core four (Barrera, Ortega, Gooding and Savoy Brown) are great, their familial bonds and friendship is so believable and their overall likeability makes them so fun to watch, proving they can definitely carry a film without the need to rely on legacy characters.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett had a real knack for set pieces in the last one and they've only gotten better this time around. Each set piece is cleverly set up, inventive and unbearably tense. Particular highlights include a unnerving subway journey and early liquor store shootout.

After checking the cast of Scream 6 I went to the movies with zero expectations. However, it was worse than expected.
I felt like I was watching a sequel of Scary Movie. Apparently these directors managed to turn Scream into a nonsense joke (the audience laughed during the entire movie).
The cast was terrible. Except for Courteney Cox, everybody deserved to be stabbed numerous times from the very beginning.
The plot was tailored made for teens with no understanding of the horror/suspense genre and was not serious at all. No content, no emotions.
Lastly, I'm happy for Neve Campbell because she was not involved in this awful project.

I went to the theater, because I had read the reviews here and they really succeeded to fool me.
I believe that everything this movie needed to become great was only a good ending. Unfortunately, the ending twist was poorly written and as a result of that nothing made any sense throughout the movie. We are all very aware that nothing can top the original, but at least they needed to try a lot better. I won't spoil anything, just think about the ending if it makes any sense to you, as for me it creates plenty of plot holes and I expected something more satisfying instead of what we got.
There is more action this time and the scene with Gale in her apartment was decent. She remainded me of Sarah Connor and Ripley.
Lastly, I don't know why, but this time every character feels like a child of Chuck Norris, or the The Terminator from the first movie when Kyle Reese explained to Sarah that he will not stop ever, until she is dead. Everybody is stabbed, deadly wounded, shot, but no.. the plot compels them to stay alive no matter what.

Scream 6 is not a masterpiece or can be compared to the OG Scream. This movie has its moments but it's slow.
Last 30 minutes are engaging however movie relies heavily on clichés, and the character development is almost non-existent. There are few jump scares and far between, and the kills, though graphic, lack the creative flair that made the earlier films memorable. Ghostface's motives are muddled, and the pacing feels uneven, leaving the audience with more frustration than excitement. Overall, Scream 6 could have trimmed down to 1hr 40min for a more tight screenplay.
There are few scenes which generates tension among the audience such as the ladder scene, the metro scene and last 15 minutes in the movie.
Overall, this movie is a fair one time watch.
