Oh, what a tangled web we weave ... and the upcoming film Veil tells all about getting ensnared in that tangled web. Veil will be hitting the film festival circuit in the fall, but we've got a first look for you right now!

Ten Sundays Productions, the good folks behind Cannibal Cheerleader Camp and Boxing Day are proud to announce their new feature horror film, Veil. Written and directed by Paul Busetti, Veil stars Joseph Durbin (Deadlands 2), Devon Marie Brookshire (Ninjas vs. Vampires), Josh Davidson (Ghosts Don't Exist), Kendra North (Witch's Brew) and newcomer Meghan Nelson.

Filming took place over the winter on location in Virginia and Maryland. Veil is currently in post-production and is slated for a fall 2012 release For more info on this upcoming film check out the official Veil website and give the Veil Facebook page a like.

It was last November when we first told you about Witch’s Brew, the beer-soaked gross-out horror comedy about what happens when a pissed off witch lays a curse upon your lager. A new trailer proclaims this blood-battered brewski is ready for serving.

Those of you living in Baltimore, Maryland, will get first crack at Witch’s Brew when it makes its world premiere at The Charles Theater on October 19th. Broken Springs I guess horror films involving killer beer or moonshine, as is the case here, are starting to become another trend in the indie horror world. Broken Springs, from director Neeley Lawson, came first, but you also have Witch's Brew from Chris Lamartina that's in post production. And of course, how could anyone forget about Street Trash which came out in the 1980's? However, in that, everyone melted to death.

In Broken Springs, three teenage boys have their world turned upside down by tainted moonshine. They must rescue their loved ones and battle a marauding horde of zombies while fighting their way out of town.

I like how the trailer combines elements of small town nostalgia with zombies. I guess it all speaks to me growing up as a kid living out in the middle of nowhere and, of course, watching zombie films. Looking at the trailer, Broken Springs...

So what is "Lost Trailer Park: Never Coming Attractions"?  

Chris Lamartina It's the pet project of Chris Lamartina and writer Jimmy George (frequent co-writer and co-producer). Once a month, Chris Lamartina will be producing a trailer (movie preview) for a non-existent feature-length movie. Most of the time for campy tongue-in-cheek horror flicks, but not always. If it falls into the category of exploitation or grind house flicks, then it's definitely fair game.

When the ever vigilant Avery sent me over word of a new horror film titled Witch's Brew, I was disappointed to learn it was not based on the penny machine of the same name I once won $50 on at a local casino. This Witch's Brew is a gross-out horror comedy about the gory things that happen when beermakers piss off mistresses of the dark arts.

The possibly drunken creation of writer-director Chris Lamartina, the premise of Witch's Brew goes a little something like this:

Two microbrewers screw over a coven of witches, and in turn, the coven curses their latest batch of beer. From that point forward, anyone who drinks the cursed alcohol meets a gruesome ironic demise.
