    Simply Awful.

After reading IMDb for several years, it has taken a film of such amazing awfulness to persuade me to put figurative pen to paper.

I had high hopes for this film. Liverpool over the years has been the breeding ground for some comedy legends, and the combination of scouse humour, and the rivaly between Liverpool and Everton seemed like it could be a winner.

How wrong I was. Poor jokes, that didn't even raise a laugh in the room, cheap gags that seem aimed at people with an iq below 40, and acting as bad as I have ever seen. No plot, No Jokes, No Point.

I turned off after 20 minutes. The least funny film I have ever seen, and I've seen a few, and desperately sad that this is the best they could come up with. There are funnier cabbies in Liverpool than any of the writers involved with this film.

    good stuff

This the first film thats ever made me want to write a review....FANTASTIC!!!! Everything about this film is quality.Drew Schofield is outstanding as "kenny" and this is coming from a bluenose. This film is a must for any football fans the banter between the two families is very very funny. I watched the film with some red members of the family and we were all impressed by the fact it does not take its self too seriously. I was also amazed to see football legends Howard Kendall and Ian st John turn as the blue bishop and red saint. The two little kids had me in stitches, great little actors. All in all a funny film.

    Disappointing.

I had high hopes of this film, having heard several favourable opinions on it. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed and consider that the hype surrounding it is scarcely warranted. On a positive note there are some funny gags and lines in the film, but not enough to carry through the length of the film. It's humour is patchy, and there are more unfunny moments than comic moments. The two leads are good, as are the two youngsters, but some of the other acting is a bit dodgy. And, despite the fact that it is supposed to convey a balanced story of the two factions, it's very much apparent that it was scripted by a Liverpool fan. In fact, the additional material consisting of interviews with ex-players etc, is ultimately more enjoyable.

    Well worth the money

Don't pay any attention to the moaners - Reds and Blues, the Ballad of Dixie and Kenny is a hugely enjoyable film. I pity the fool who turned off after 20 minutes and missed the full genius of the Rap Battle - I haven't laughed that much for ages.

Andrew Schofield is, as always, brilliant to watch and newcomer Paul Duckworth adds a manic energy that builds to boiling point - and the performances from TJ Jones and Sonny Spofforth as Little Stevie and Ronaldo mark them out for future success.

I've watched this film with both Reds and Blues and the result has always been the same - sheer enjoyment and plenty of laughs.

And I should mention the fantastic documentary 'Derby Days' that follows the main feature... a great extra which only adds to the value. Quality.

Get ready to groove get ready to rap!!!

This surreal comedy film was a delight to watch from start to finish. All the media reviews were very positive and totally accurate - funny, light entertainment with a great blues narrative sound track. Being from the city I identified with the rivalry between both the red and blue camps - every team has its nemesis. Everyone I know has seen it - it must be the most popular DVD in the city for many years and is surely set to become a cult classic. The rap battle finale was the crescendo to a thoroughly enjoyable watch (my two young children regularly sing it word-for-word). The songs from the movie especially the rap song are also heard regularly as phone dial-tones. All in all a nice piece of comedic escapism
