This TV show happens to be very good in my opinion.
I've been reading some reviews on this show and I'm so saddened to see people just go and bash this show for some pretty stupid reasons. I'm not saying the show can't be a bit corny at times with the dialogue, but other than that, I think it's very well thought out, paced show with characters that are very dynamic.
I gained a lot of respect for this show mostly because of the point that it showcases a variety of races instead of just having everyone be white with a splash of other races as minor characters. It's a refreshing change of pace to see the main character (Jason) being a black guy, who, yeah, is hip hop, but is a very bright and artistic guy with great leadership skills. The other characters are all very real, some stereotypical and some fit different molds, but isn't that how life is? I know a lot of people bash the show because they have the black people speaking in hip hop terms sometimes, but don't some black people speak with slang in real life sometimes? So what's the big deal? But, moving on....I also respect the plot line of "kids with superhero powers and responsibilities" and trying to balance their lives with this new and un-welcomed secret identity. It's very well paced and even though all three characters aren't best buddies when it starts, now being so many episodes in, it's very believably gradual of how Zevo-3 grows to be a real team. Also, the script and plot take a lot of serious turns that are very exciting. The new development with Jason's parents and everything else is very inviting and gives the story a lot of depth.
So, all and all, I'm saying the check the show out and stop listening to the people saying the show is stupid because the black people are being portrayed in a racist way because they speak hip hop. I'm black myself, and I can honestly say I've never been offended by the show.
Good show, great and realistic characters, well scripted and thought out plot. 8/10.

Even ignoring that it's a 22-minute commercial, it's still an unremarkable program. The voice acting ranges from average to hammy (in a "I'm not even going to dare put this on my resume" kind of way). The protagonists themselves are dull characters, and the villain (Stank-foot) is equally as dreary. It's an action show, but the battles and confrontations are no more attention-grabbing than their scenes of "normal life", making the whole show a chore to watch with no excitement to be had or expected. The forgettable music, character art design (which itself is embarrassing to behold) that clash with the background scenery, bland settings, and flat color palette only helps to quicken the audience's malaise. The only nice thing I can say is that it doesn't treat itself as a commercial and avoids name-dropping, but that still makes it a failure based on the fundamentals of being an advertisement.
Below average in every category, Zevo-3 feels as though the staff who worked on the show tried to make it as boring to watch as it was to develop.

This is a fun series to watch if you are bored. Yes, identity and finding one's place in the world are major themes, but this show puts off a vibe similar to She-Ra: Princess of Power or even Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? with the villains (even the fascist leader of the city) generally absurd and comical. In that way, this series really isn't serious and shouldn't be taken seriously like other series. That isn't a surprise, however, as it was clearly created for kids, showing in Nicktoons, not adults. Despite that, the voice acting is good, including Kari Wahlgren, who voices a bunch of people in Cleopatra in Space, and the plotlines are at least somewhat decent. The fact that you learn more about what really happened in the city in the final episode than the series as a whole is a reason this is giving it the current ranking. Still, the themes in this series are strong enough to warrant at least one watching, aligned with what jacksonilea said in their March 27, 2011 review.
As you can tell, YES, I am a HUGE avatar fan and am disappointed with Dante Basco, Mark Hamill and Grey DeLisle's work on the show. Now to the point. This show is restankulous. The animation is cruddy and the script is worse than The Last Airbender. If you really want some hell, go turn on the Disney Channel because that is better than this. I listen to Hip hop and Kewl Breeze, let me set some things straight! Number one, I listen to hip hop and DO NOT like sagging my pants or going "yo, sup, yo,yo". Number two, I've met real gangsters and if that's what you were going for, you SUCK at that! I am the type of person that will put with pure garbage eg. Disney Channel and will NOT care, but this is beyond boring. Number 2, The fight scenes look so fake. All it just is is a sit down and talk thing with a few punches here and there. I am a member of the "target audience" along with my brother and we both hated it. Number 3, I can come up with a better storyline, idea, plot and characters than this show. I am a very creative person and this just lacks creativity. Stankfoot, Elastika, Kewl Breeze!?! This is just a dumbed down version of the Sketcher's commercials. What you need is to know what it's like to be a kid, a teenager. This shows seems like you've never lived a childhood. Go to the playground, play tag or something. Then maybe, you'll understand that the garbage you made has polluted children's minds. We already have to put up with Hannah Montana, don't make it worse.
You also got the one of the most elite Voice Actors on the show, Dante Basco. Just please do not waste 30 minutes,, or maybe hours of useful talents AND viewers of Avatar: The Last Airbender's lives. Never watch this show and if you come out with any merchandise, I will make it top priority to fire-bend on it. Maybe add a bit of lightning too...
NEVER watch this show. It's terrible.
