    If you liked "Clerks" ...

If you liked "Clerks", you'll go for this low-budget independent film (I'm certain that writer/director Larry Longstreth is cringing at that comparison if he reads these reviews!) I resisted seeing it at first (I'm likely a generation - or more - older than the target audience) but when I did I was captivated from the start. There are some genuine Coca-Cola-out-the-nose funny parts (be careful when you sip!), besides an actual interesting story.

The quality of the acting bests most "Lifetime" movies, as well. You'll get no spoilers, nor a plot outline, from me. I will say that if you are just on either side of thirty, viewing is mandatory! Older viewers who remember that age (fondly or not) may also empathize with "leading man" Ben (played by Longstreth.)

Anyone with a wicked sense of humor will certainly get a few side-aches!

There is much swearing(too much for me, although it likely represents how people of that age actually speak!) so little ones should perhaps watch Shrek XXXVIII instead.

    New generation of comedy

My 19 year old brought it home to watch with friends. I joined and was shocked at how funny it was. The movie isn't kid friendly but hit home for me, my teen and her friends. I've told all my co-workers to get it at blockbuster asap. A couple have and now we quote it around the work place. If you like office space, clerks or just hate pop culture you'll love this. As an older woman I was able to watch it and enjoy the film making fun of the younger people. The pink shirts and gender bending pants. It's refreshing to see this and think all hope is not lost for my daughters generation. My husband loved the parts making fun of MMA fighting and the father figure's lecture to his son. Overall our entire family was shocked at how good this was. It is clearly not a big budget film but it's still good. We look forward to whatever this guy makes next. 10 out of 10 for us.

    • Trivia
A large portion of the cast and crew attended grade/high school together in the same small town that the 'daydream/interrogation' scene was filmed. This location also has ties to one of (director/actor) Larry Longstreth's schoolmates and childhood friends, who did not appear in the film or work within the crew. It was 'the worst' [uncomfortable] set, according to the cast/crew that worked on this particular scene. Due to the particular room's absence of windows and small size, it was extremely cramped and hot. This forced them to take more frequent breaks to cool off and fix makeup. Time to film this scene was extremely limited as it had to be completed in one day; at Raytec Systems in Stow (Ohio) while the office was closed and empty of it's employees.
