Such a smooth depiction of that heinous thing

Story is about reinstating a few lessons for life like; anyone can survive, its not feeling guilty but helping another is more important, there can be found good people around, etc. ...

And about the way the "heinous thing" is crafted into the story, its that, in spite of the very realistic approach the film makers took, while watching the film, it was not so horrifying for me. Here, for that, I would like to appreciate them again for the very memorable special characters and their very very interesting multi-lingual conversations!

I think thus the very smooth watching.. but thought provoking for sure...

Most Powerful Piece of Storytelling I've seen in Years

Speechless. To put this movie in any Genre would be the hardest thing. It evoked a whole gamut of emotions and triggered realisations that were painful and made me tear up quite a few times. A poignant tale of loss, love and regrets, shuttered against a backdrop of silent poverty and longing for better lives by people who battle the toughest circumstances on their own. Kani and Tanmay deserve to win all the awards in the world for their seemingly effortless portayal of such complex characters. This had Tamil, Malyalam, Bengali and Hindi dialogues and my heart jumped with joy at every switch between these languages. The cinematography is brilliant, and so is the subtle dialouge, some of which I'll carry with me for eons! Movies like this is why I love cinema.

I really do wish I can tell stories the way the director has in this film.

It would be a crime to rob you off the joy of getting to know these characters on screen.

My dad was in the armed forces and I changed 6 schools and 5 cities in every corner of india, and my career made me switch 3 more. Growing up I have attained this habit of localising the way I speak and the narrative when I interact with people from all around. This movie was the first time I saw characters do the same on screen.

The dialogue exchanges are amazing , even more amazing is the performance the actors gave while delivering it. The movie sometimes switches between three languages in just one 30 second scene. Bangla,Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil.

Kudos to the team, please keep making more films.

On an unrelated note it appears I have only dated Malayali and Bengali women in the last decade, there's a scene in the film addressing "madrasi" and "Bengali" stereotype which made me chuckle.
