Adam is a young worker who is at his best. In addition to receiving a promotion, he lives a romance. However, an accident leaves him a quadriplegic, changing his life completely...
What a beautiful and sad movie, I love these overcoming biographies, it hurts and makes our hearts warm, at first we were angry with Adam, his behavior with the family, with the nurses, then we understood and had pity, we realized that they go through unimaginable difficulties, and finally we are happy with your victory and determination, it makes us reflect a lot about life, how much we don't value it and how much we complain about small things...

Speaking as someone who suffered the exact same injury as Adam. I could relate to this film. Whilst I didn't have a high powered job like Adam, I know what it's like when you break a small bone in your neck can have such a traumatic effect on your life.
Overnight you lose your job your house my girlfriend left me. And most of all your independence Having to rely on family members carers just to do the most simplest task that you previously took for granted, like dressing going to the toilet etc. I've seen a few films about disability, and whilst it is not without faults it's about as close to the truth as I have seen in a movie.
Aaron Paul does a decent job in the role, clearly he has studied the problems faced by severely disabled people. And the support cast are all good having to cope with Adams frustrations 8/10

This true story of a mortgage salesman becoming quadriplegic is interpreted very well by Aaron Paul and the other actors (it's good to see Tom Berenger again), believable and touching.
This is a film that made me laugh and made me cry. The acting is superb and the characters were very engaging. It opened my eyes to the struggles and hardships and I feel glad that I watched it to be able to appreciate that my own problems are comparatively minor.
This film is truly a gem, strange that it went so quietly and not reviewed; based on a true story, the film deals with the daily problems of disability in all its angles, facets, problems; the cast is well established, the lead role is of Aaron Paul who does a really good job, but also the supporting cast that sees actors like Lena Olin, Tom Berenger, Shannon Lucio, Jeff Daniels and a rediscovered Tom Sizemore. The film was shot in 2011 and it is not clear why it only came out in 2020, perhaps problems of distribution; in any case it is an excellent film, very touching, even photography does a good job; definitely worth seeing, highly recommended.
