Not as bad as I was led to believe.

Bending the Rules was one of these pictures I herd only bad things about. People would give it a 3 or a 4 or something. Then I see the movie and I got to say I was entertained and that's what it was all about.

They should rename The Edge The Charisma, cause he totally has it. It's one of those things where I know him as a heel (bad guy) in the ring, but in the movie he has the nicest persona, and I love to see the range in people who I only know one side of. He's no Rock, but he's good enough to carry a small movie that needs that spark. Plus it's hilarious hearing that deep Canadian accent coming out of a guy whose suppose to be playing a New Orleans cop.

Jamie Kennedy is definitely the weaker link of the somewhat buddy cop movie thing going on here. Kennedy plays a district attorney trying to put the Edge's character in jail for being a bad cop. Then they end up having to team up to find a car that leads to a bigger crime. Kennedy is the jerk in the relationship, and he plays it too well. Even thought he's at a bad point in his life with his wife leaving him and not getting the promotion he wants, and all his colleagues hating him for not being able to bend the rules, but I never fully feel sorry for Kennedy. He never really shows his redeemable qualities. He starts a jerk and ends still being a jerk. May not be all his fault, as that is what the character is suppose to be but it does put a little more work on The Edge to be likable.

It's a good story about the Edge doing detective work going around trying to solve a crime and interacting with interesting characters in New Orleans and it's a good movie for that. Kennedy does not hurt the movie but does not help it either.

Very fun to watch, and after watching, hearing what I herd I give it a 6, but it maybe a 5.

    It's a movie, guys

When you book a mid card match with midcarders a lot of time you'll get what you expect a midcard match... believe it or not the same goes with actors this week I watched bending the rules. A wwe film full of midcard actors...jamie kennedy whose magnum opus is most assuredly malibus most wanted but other than all avr movies Jennifer Esposito who we know from master of disguise mid and a very green to acting, Adam Copeland, edge . They say the proof is in the pudding and that rings truer here than ever before. Wasn't as bad as say money plane but he's grown into becoming better than this... edge plays a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules. Kennedy plays a trial lawyer who is by the books but it also unlikeable as he can be. Can the unlikely duo solve the crime they are both wrapped up In or will it take them both down. 4 outta 10.

Surprise--One Grandma who really liked this movie

I am a grandma who thought I could endure this film for the sake of my grandson but actually ended up enjoying the flick myself. I have seen several "comedy" movies lately at the theater that just did not seem very entertaining, let alone funny, and a waste of the ticket price.

My grandson bought this movie and even though I was not particularly looking forward to watching the film with him, I did and found it to be quite entertaining--and YES--FUNNY!

Today's filmography tends to deal with lots of heavy apocalyptic issues and dark subjects leaving fun movies (those that are acceptable as family entertainment) hard to come by.

I realize this film will not go down in the annals of time as a "classic film " which I am sure was not the intent of the filmmakers to begin with but what is wrong with a little relatively clean fun that makes you laugh for a while? As far as entertainment value--this film scores much higher in my book than many of the more publicized comedy flicks. In our opinion, the film was entertaining and we felt it to be money well spent for the entertainment value.

There was great chemistry between Adam (The Edge) Copeland and Jamie Kennedy. I am not a wrestling fan myself but thought Mr. Copeland was quite charming upon watching the special features included on the DVD. And who doesn't appreciate the veteran comedic acting abilities of Jessica Walters (we still miss the "Arrested Development" TV series).

In summary, if you just need some laughs without all the cursing and sexual innuendo--give this movie a shot--you may be pleasantly surprised--I was.

I really tried my hardest to like this film but I just couldn't

I'm a huge Jamie Kennedy fan and an even bigger Edge fan. When I saw these two were in movie I instantly got excited. However by time credits rolled on this movie I was left dissapointed.

The first issue I had was lack of chemistry between the two. Edge has more of sarcastic sense of humor as where Jamie Kennedy has goofball sense of humor. Therefore it crashed alot and you were left with extreme amount of flat or awkard jokes throughout.

Two I felt the action scenes were majorly lacking. I understand its buddy cop type of movie and action isn't the message theyre mainly trying to send. However even Bad Boys type of movies have decent action so that shouldn't be an excuse.

Lastly I just felt like the pacing was bad. The movie felt 30 minutes longer then it really was. It just su extremely boring at times I contemplated fast forwarding.

However I did enjoy the acting which I saw as major plus. The visuals were off the charts and thought were really well done for B-movie. But would I recommend it? Most likely not.

A surprising movie starring a wrestler that isn't actually that bad. Not good, but not bad. Made me laugh. I say B

"In one week Willy Bieber gets his just punishment because I refused to compromise." Detective Nick Blades (Edge) is on trial for corruption and Assistant DA Gold (Kennedy) is the one prosecuting him. After a mistrial occurs and Gold's car is stolen it is up to the two adversaries to work together to solve the crime that gets increasingly more sinister. Yet another movie starring a wrestler. I will have to admit that this is one of the better ones and at least they realize that it is hard to make a serious movie with one. While this boils down to just another buddy movie it is actually not that bad and kind of entertaining. There is enough comedy in this to keep you watching and even though this is fairly predictable it is still very much worth a watch. Fans of wrestler movies will love this, everyone else will enjoy this. At least I did. Overall, much better then the recent wrestler movies. I kinda liked it. I give it a B.
