Again, there are some nice subtle twists on the normal format here, which work well.
It does remain a bit like 'Death in Paradise' by numbers though, with lots of the elements being seen before with the murder case. The person who thought they murdered the person not actually being the murderer etc.
I much preferred the ongoing Neville and Florence dynamic, and how the plot from ep 1 in some ways has continued into the next.
On the whole good.

Neville has another murder to solve, and an affair of the heart to deal with.
Another very good, solid episode, it's so good to see that there is still a real sense of quality in this show, now in its eleventh series.
It feels very fresh, Marlon has matured, and Naomi has been an awesome addition, the tension between Neville and Florence was reallly nicely done.
A very satisfying mystery, with a streak of cleverness running through it, very Agatha Christie. Once again it ends with a bit of intrigue, not just beers at the bar, I liked that.
A really nice cast here, I'm surprised Tamzin Outhwaite hasn't appeared in the series before, but all good things come to those who wait, she's excellent throughout, I thought Jason Done did a great job also.
8/10.

Plots getting rediculous. No chemistry. Mediocre acting. Sure looks like actors are reading que cards. Downhill with Kevin Rundle and James Hall. Lacking in the dry comedy and amusement of yesteryears. Bring back John-Jules.
Pleasant enough. But, This episode was all over the map. The one bright spot was seeing Tamzin Outhwaite. DI Neville is vanilla as ever. He brings no dynamic to this series. There's no pizzazz in any of the regular characters. Saw Officer Dwayne (Danny John-Jules) in the latest Shakespeare and Hathaway episode. Miss his emotion on this series.
It is murder on the golf course.
Bradley Faircroft has arrived on Saint Marie to reunite with his brother Conor who has run the golf club on the island for some years.
After an argument between the two, Bradley makes a phone call saying he is in distress and then he is found dead.
DI Parker thinks that Conor is the main suspect. The golf club is not in an idyllic situation. Conor's drinking and gambling has left the business in debt.
However Conor might have an alibi and no motive.
A good mystery with a couple of twists. Sgt Thomas seems to have a good rapport with Officer Pryce.
I did like Neville having a go at trying out golf only to be lumbered playing with Commissioner Patterson.
Then there is the series arc with DS Cassell offered to go undercover on a dangerous assignment.

- GoofsSurely the medical examiner would have been able to tell that there had been more than one blow to the head of the murder victim, and put it in his/her report. It's very unlikely that the second blow could have lined up so precisely with the first as to make it undetectable.
