Jake is a person who lives in mediocrity and his life is characterized as a series of briefly held jobs. This life is also forced upon the people close to him. When he gets fired from his latest job his girlfriend, Alex, makes it clear that she can't take this situation any longer and his best friend, Pete, sees a window of opportunity to make get closer to her.

Unbeknownst to him and through Pete's connections, Jake accepts a job offer as a loader in a freight house. On his first day, however, he realizes that the workplace is a cover for drug trafficking for an inhaled drug called 'Pandora'. The drug dealers soon become aware of his presence there and he flees.

Jake seeks the help of a special police division, the Inspectors, and gets drawn deeper into trouble, as strange dreams begin to haunt him. Slowly descending into his own personal darkness, he unleashes a chain of events that will change not only his routine, but his whole perception of the world and Life itself.
