Having survived the previous attack, the survivor of the spirit's rampage is contacted by a paranormal research show to help them investigate the claims of the supernatural spirit to put her on the show, but when they bring the spirit after them, they must find a way to stop it.
This was a downgrade on the original, but it still has some enjoyable factors to it. One of the biggest factors with this one comes from the generally enjoyable attempts to connect this one to the original entry. The connection here focuses on the survivor of the original rampage being brought to a location where the reality show can offer up their starting stages for the experiment to summon it, which inevitably brings them into the path of the released spirit once everything is accomplished, setting this up rather nicely. This provides the necessary means of getting the crew there and bringing back the one person who knows how the spirit operates and what needs to happen for the whole thing to work so that the early scenes of them putting everything together and then being shocked by the spirits' presence works rather nicely for what's going on as these scenes manage to offer up intriguing and enjoyable scenes with the supernatural figure jumping out of random locations and appearing when it's least expected to torment or even attack the chosen victim. Outside of that, though, there are some big issues here. The main factor with all of this is the inherently bland and generally uneventful tempo that this plays out as, without much of anything to get interested in. Although it spends a nice amount of time setting up the various storylines and different reasons why the group is being targeted by the spirit, it all comes at the expense of this one having little to no action surrounding these scenes, as the spirit is only involved in a few select scenes anyway. This leaves the film so dragged out and draining, with the dialogue-heavy middle portions being devoid of anything happening, as all the encounters are over so quickly, as well as there's very little blood or gore in this one, even with a small body count that doesn't provide what the original offered. On top of that, with such a brief and uneventful climax that looks more like it ran out of money to go along with an ultra-cheap and flimsy production presentation, these all manage to bring this one down overall.
