I don't remember this scandal, but the story is more than "interesting"... it's, well, scandalous!
But when will Episodes 3 and 4 be shown so we can find out the "rest of the story"? Inquiring minds want to know...

Stylish and darkly funny (think if I, tonya were a documentary). The actual storytelling is pretty clearly slanted toward "Elena and Anton couldn't have possible won fairly" from the Western interviewees, and there's a case to be made that that's not unassailably true. But the corruption is very clearly presented and absolutely damning. (After all, it's possible to cheat on behalf of someone would could have won on their merits!)
Extremely relevant to the current state of FS judging, too. They instituted IJS to stop this stuff, but now judges just fudge the numbers to explain away politicking and national bias. I hope they show trailers for this before and after every FS event during the Olympics! (I think it's their last contract year of figure skating TV coverage, isn't it? Why not watch it all burn?)
DYING for episode 4!

I know many of the participants involved. The story is exactly what we were told after their return from the 2002 Olympics except with more evidence and details. I hope everyone realizes events like these are very rare in figure skating. The former French Skating President is one a kind (His penalty was that he was forbidden to enter the building where a skating event was being held for a 3 years.) Yet, he was one of 4 finalists for president of the ISU a few years ago.
Just the right amount of documentary and entertainment. Fair, balanced, and even gracious to most people involved.
Good job to Tara Lipinski on this.

Didn't follow the story at the time but this documentary is great. I am only a casual Olympics observer. I do not follow anything specifically unless I just happen to catch it so this did not get my attention at the time. Except for the occasional mention of unfair judges which you hear in these types of events at times. This documentary however caught my attention completely and was excellent. Quality production, well put together, and most importantly the actual athletes then and now we're highly visible. It is awesome hearing them say what they thought and thing today. Well done!
