Did this really do anything to teach kids not to abuse medicines? I doubt it.

"Sniffy Escapes Poisoning" is a god-awful public service film whose purpose is to teach young kids NOT to take medicines on their own. However, it's so badly done that I assume many kids just laughed it off or ignored it. I sure know I would have done that when I was a kid!

When the film begins, an ugly, poorly drawn big-headed freak of a child awakens to find that his dog is sick. He takes the dog to the medicine cabinet and one by one the various drugs sing to him the dangers of taking too much...and the film intones that kids should let their parents give them medicine and not take it on their own.

The problem with this odd film is that it is cheap and badly made. Had the voice acting kids had talent, they wouldn't have spoken the lines so unrealistically and then folks would only have noticed about the bad animation and writing. Overall, a strange little film that I somehow stumbled upon at archive.org...but wish I really hadn't!
