This is a three-episode series. Horticulturalist and broadcaster Monty Don visits Venice, Croatia, and Greece. It's a lot of Mediterranean sun. Often, these gardens are islands of tranquility and cool beauty in a sea of heat. Some are high class with long history. They may be revived or long protected by dedicated gardeners. There are the working class gardens growing vegetables. There are publicly planned gardens. Some are expensive and expensive looking. Throughout it all, Monty is very British and excited for the beautiful looking gardens. He leads you through a nice Mediterranean vacation.

Perfect program to watch during cold January. Stunning scenery, interesting stories, and Monty is lovely to listen to as always. Me and my husband love watching this show at the weekend with a glass of prosecco, looking forward to warmer, brighter days to come.
