After getting released from prison, the Bad Guys are trying to be Good. It's not easy. It doesn't help that new criminal Phantom Bandit is stealing artifacts and leaving clues which point back to the Bad Guys. They decide to prove their innocence by solving the case for Commissioner Luggins. Governor Diane "Crimson Paw" Foxington agrees to help.
I continue to like this gang of characters. In the same breath, I continue to want more out of this franchise. These guys need to have something important to say or have stakes that are bigger than the fun of stealing a fast car. I like to see them grow. I would have liked for some more growth in their second movie. It does suggest another change for the third movie and we'll have to see.

Lee (Lily Gladstone) and Angela Chen (Kelly Marie Tran) are a gay couple struggling with IVF treatment. Their friends are another gay couple, Min (Han Gi-Chan) and Chris (Bowen Yang). Min is the heir to a Korean business conglomerate. His grandmother Ja-Young (Youn Yuh-jung) wants him to clean up his act and join the family business. In desperation, he comes up a crazy scheme to marry Angela in exchange for paying their IVF treatment.
I mostly love this for the actors and the characters. I do wish that they allow Bowen Yang to unleash his flamboyant sensibility. Otherwise, I like all the performances. This is a fun gay-dysfunctional relationships comedy. I'm not sure about a couple of the plot points, but it all works out and this is fun.

Zach Avery was born Zachary Horwitz. In 2022, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for masterminding a Ponzi scheme where he sold TV and film rights and defrauded hundreds of millions of dollars. I've never heard of this guy. I guess that Hollywood doesn't want to acknowledge this scandal. Quite frankly, Bernie Madoff stole billions. He's the NFL hall of famer when compared to this guy who only played intramural football in college. All these people are pretty much the same. They are liars. This documentary would be more interesting if they could get Hollywood stars to talk about their experiences with the guy. Otherwise, I'm not that surprised about all his lies. It's what they do.
