    Unlike anything you've ever seen.

This is a movie that is nearly impossible to describe in words... Barry J Gillis entertains in a way no other film maker can. Wicked World is full of odd choices in it's editing, sound design and storytelling, but all of it's missteps add to the film's charm and entertainment value.

If you are a fan of B-Movie horror, I could not recommend this film more. Watch it with friends, you won't be disappointed.

    Worth a Watch

"Wicked World" While it may not have achieved mainstream success, it has gained a cult following over the years. The movie showcases Gillis' passion and creativity, evident in its unique storyline and unconventional approach. The low-budget production adds to its charm, creating an atmosphere of gritty authenticity. Despite some technical limitations, "Wicked World" manages to deliver a thrilling and eerie experience, effectively capturing the essence of classic horror. He's a creative director. For fans of independent cinema and those who appreciate unconventional storytelling, this film is worth a watch.

    Highly Recommend

Like many I have been a fan of THINGS for years and when I saw that another movie Barry J Gillis was involved in (written and directed in this case) was getting a re-release I was very excited.

I had never seen or heard of Wicked World until recently and since THINGS is so iconic and culty I was not sure what to expect from this mystery film. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. This movie is truly one of a kind and no doubt has much of the same magic and creativity that made THINGS such a hit while at the same time shows a more mature and experienced filmmaker.

I've been showing cult horror movies to my girlfriend for years now and this has easily been one of her favorites. Wicked World will be in my library for years to come. I highly recommend this movie

    Let's be honest...

Most cult films are terrible. "The Room," for instance. Or most John Waters movies. "Wicked World" is a cult film, but also really terrible. There's truly nothing positive I can say about it. "Henry:Portrait of a Serial Killer," this is not.

The putrid acting, the horrid audio that's really hard to understand, the stupidity of the kills (in one, the protagonist serial killer is beating someone to death with a baseball bat and a cleanly severed hand flies up), the insufferable voiceovers with brilliant dialogue like, "I hate helicopters." I thought this mess would never end.

If you enjoy really bad filmmaking, this may be your unicorn. But since there were only a few reviews on here, I felt someone should warn you. This is one time that Canada has disappointed me.

viewers must be willing to temporarily detach themselves from reality!

Spawned from the same tweaked mind as Canadian horror cult 'Things', resembling the madly misanthropic progeny of H. G Lewis's The Gore Gore Girls', Barry J. Gillis's similarly warped follow-up is no less unhinged! The appropriately monikered 'Wicked World' is lurid proof positive that gratuitous violence, gratuitous nudity, gratuitous narration and gratuitous tan lines are NEVER gratuitous! Driven incandescently mad by a searing hatred of mankind, drenched in downbeat delirium, the deliciously demented death-spree of this sinisterly storytelling serial killer are not soon forgotten!

Weirdly, the shoestring budget merely tightens the addictive mania of this gloriously wrong-headed mindbomb! Having all the dramatic nuance of an improvised school nativity play, like an especially gruesome carwreck, 'Wicked World' proves morbidly irresistible, one is compelled to watch! Suspending disbelief simply won't cut it, to more fully experience the apocalyptic sensibilities of 'Wicked World', viewers must be willing to temporarily detach themselves from reality! Accept the unacceptable, digest the indigestible, and fathom the unfathomable, like culinary eccentricities laverbread, and surstromming, 'Wicked World' is, perhaps, an acquired taste!
