    Surprised!

As a 70-year-old white woman, I wasn't sure what to expect from this show about the curiosity of a famous TV personality, but after watching the first episode, I admit that I liked it a lot. As I continued to watch more episodes, I realized that JVN is an unconventional host, but that he is genuinely interested in the subjects and people on the show. On every episode, I have learned new and interesting facts about the main themes of the show, as well as JVN as a person. Kudos to JVN!

    Fun and partially very informative

The episode about sugar was the most influential to me. Very interesting, not much I have NEVER heard before but packaged in a very intriguing way. The episode about ice skating was a passion project for JVS I get that but sadly the weakest episode imo.

    Goofy Fun for Everyone

Jonathan Van Ness is a bubbly, non-binary hairdresser with a gift for comedy. He uses his natural curiosity and personal warmth to interview experts on various topics, which he then experiences with the audience. His guileless sense of wonder and teenage language make him the perfect host for an educational series aimed at children and the young at heart,

This series is a wonderful gift to LGBTQ and non-binary children who don't see themselves represented on Sesame Street or other educational shows. It's fun and it's cool for straight old people like me, too.

    Perhaps for kids?

This entire series has the exact same tone as when Katy Perry interviewed Neil deGrasse Tyson about science. A cringe fest for adults but might be fun for young kids.

    Enjoyable background TV

I love Jonathan in Queer Eye (and outside of it on socials) so I was super excited for their own show to come out.

It was definitely enjoyable and I did actually learn a lot, at least a couple things from each episode that I never knew before - which I feel is the purpose of the series.

The little cut scenes/performative scenes at first were a bit cringe but after the 2nd episode I grew to love them and find them funny.

I just binged the entire series in the background while I was busy doing something else, so I don't believe it's necessarily something you'd want to sit down and fully focus on, but it's worth the watch!

Also, people may complain that they can be OTT but if viewers know that's what their personality is like in Queer Eye... why do viewers think it'll be LESS like that when it's their own show? Lol.
