Yup, judging by the cover alone, then I didn't have a single expectation for this 2022 movie titled "The Bag Girls 2" from writer and director Will Lewis. However, never having heard about it prior to stumbling upon it, then of course I opted to give the movie the benefit of the doubt and actually sit down to watch it.
Well, I can honestly say that I wasn't the target audience for this type of movie, not every by a longshot.
The storyline in the movie was pretty vague, and it felt like Will Lewis was making this movie only to show off the four women in the leading roles. I can't even claim that I got to learn the names of the characters here, because the storyline utterly failed to appeal to me. And after having seen a couple of pointless lewd and unnecessary sex scenes, I just gave up on this dumpster fire of a movie.
I am sure that the actresses and actors in the movie put on fair enough performances, but they virtually had nothing concrete to work with in terms of script, storyline, character gallery or dialogue.
I haven't watched the first movie here, so I don't know how true the sequel is to the predecessor. Nor do I really care about watching the first movie after having sat through part of this 2022 ordeal.
My rating of "The Bag Girls 2" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

This film begins with 4 armed ladies who call themselves "The Bag Girls" walking into a bank in Detroit and, after shooting one of the guards, help themselves to a specific bank deposit box before getting in their car and driving off. Apparently, the banks in Detroit never considered the possibility of being robbed as the 4 young ladies made it all seem rather easy. Be that as it may, while driving back to Miami, the 4 women eventually get around to looking at what they've stolen and find cash, 20 diamonds and 30 gold coins totaling approximately $1.4 million. They also discover a hard drive detailing, among other things, deposits in several other banks. What they don't realize, however, is that the merchandise they've just stolen belongs to a Columbian drug lord named "Solera Castillo" (Jenicia Garcia) who not only lives in Miami but is quite prepared to do whatever it takes to retrieve her valuables and kill those responsible. In addition to that, a local law enforcement official by the name of "Detective Lewis" (Chevonne Wilson) has seen footage of the bank heist in Detroit and, even though the women wore masks, she is convinced that she knows their identities and is determined build a case against them. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that, as disappointing as the first film may have been, this one was even worse. Much like the bank robbery in Detroit, there were a number of other scenes which were much too unrealistic to be believed. For example, there were several gun battles against hardened criminals who apparently weren't able to hit their targets--even at point-blank range! The Bag Girls, strangely enough, didn't seem to have that much difficulty. Only in Hollywood. Or in this case, Miami. Additionally, although Chevonne Wilson, and to a lesser extent Carmen Mi'chelle (as "Crystal"), performed adequately enough, the overall acting was rather bad as well. In short, I didn't quite care for this film and I honestly cannot recommend it to anybody.
The 1st one was bad, but this one was worse... The ending was the worse part, pretty much letting you know there's a part 3.. HORRIBLE ACTING, just bad!!!
This is straight up crap that is worse than the first one! Stop this, just stop it, the writing and acting is not going to get any better! Bag the girls and bag the writer!
Ok so I expected this to be a bad movie but come on this is rotten bad, normally I like "bad" movies, this however is literally just a bunch of rap divas playing out a fantasy that they've never experienced in real life and it shows. I grew up in the streets and this ain't it lmfao, gtfo.
