This is the perfect Netflix and chill movie. It gave me so much 90's nostalgia and the psychological thrillers from that time. It was such a ride and so much fun to watch. It's so refreshing to watch such an entertaining indie film. This movie has such a unique tone. It makes you laugh, but It also keeps you on the edge of your seat. You never know if something awful is about to happen. Also, it keeps you wondering at the end who actually committed the murder. I watched this movie with my girls and at the end we all had different theories of who was the killer, and we were all rooting for different characters.
It is refreshing to see such great writing make it to the big screen. The story moves and keeps you guessing, made even better by the amazing performances. You can tell this film was made with love and care by a really talented cast and crew. Its hard to see movies like this get made anymore. This movie simply creates a situation and parks you in one location for the majority of the film and it works so well. Film is also beautifully shot and scored. There is a moment where we sort of jump into the perspective of people who are on psychedelics and it really accurately portrays the experience, something that many films exaggerate or overstate. Overall cant recommend this film enough, grab a blanket with your partner and settle into this one.
"Nobody's Home" is a gripping psychological thriller. It will also make you laugh in the most uncomfortable of times. The film's dark undertones and the intricate depth of its characters create an immersive experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
Each scene is meticulously crafted, weaving a narrative that is as unpredictable as it is compelling. The dialogue is sharp, and the plot twists are executed with precision, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The writer's ability to explore complex themes through nuanced storytelling is truly commendable, making "Nobody's Home" a standout in its genre.
As the lead actress Louisa Erlich delivers a performance that is both powerful and haunting. Her portrayal is layered with emotion and intensity, bringing an incredible depth to the character. Her ability to convey vulnerability and strength simultaneously is mesmerizing, making her performance one of the film's highlights.
The dark undertones of "Nobody's Home" are beautifully integrated into the storyline, enhancing the film's overall atmosphere. The tension is palpable, and the sense of foreboding is maintained throughout, creating a chilling and immersive experience for the viewers. The cinematography and score complement the narrative perfectly, adding to the film's eerie and unsettling mood (did I mention Ms. Erlich is an incredible singer).
The depth of the characters in "Nobody's Home" is another aspect that sets it apart. Each character is meticulously developed, with their own unique backstories and motivations. This attention to detail allows the audience to connect with the characters on a deeper level, making their journeys all the more impactful. Erlich's performance, along with the extremely strong supporting cast, brings these multifaceted characters to life in a way that is both believable and captivating.
The film's dark undertones, combined with its complex characters and gripping narrative, make it a must-watch for fans of psychological thrillers. The story, especially the ending, leaves a lasting impression.

A fun indie thriller - feels like watching a play in a TV screen. Great performances, musical scores, and a twisted ending. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something different on a Friday night with friends for a movie choice. Writing is clever - with lots of high tensions that melts the characters throughout the film. Luca and Jeremy are hilarious throughout the film to give it a balance that Theodora and Angelica create in their intensity. Direction was also really thought out and felt like everything was intentional. A small film with a big message to say the least. Hope everyone who watches it enjoys it like I did.
All i have to say is WOW!!! A true master piece!!! Nobody's home will keep you guessing until the very end of the movie! I was on the edge of my seat with questions the entire time. Just when you think that you have it all figured out... you don't! It is a beautifully executed mind game, with so much detail, twists and turns. After watching this film for the first time i immediately wanted to go back and watch the film again because i wanted to see what clues i had missed and i wanted to place all of the pieces accordingly. I highly, highly recommend seeing nobody's home, you will not be left disappointed!!
