This movie cropped up alongside all the new releases in the shop. I like zombie films so thought i'd give it a try. The cover art looked good but unfortunately bares no resemblance to the film.
The film is just awful from start to finish. no one can act and the zombies look like a 5 year old was hired to do the makeup. It may be low budget but that's not an excuse. If you have no money then you need to be clever with what you do have. Trying to make a zombie movie with no story, no actors and no effects just results in boring garbage.
The whole things feels like a you-tube homage to zombie films made by some kids in a garage.

Whether or not it was intended to be a comedy, this film was a riot. All the best clichés were there including the line that all British panto lovers will know - there're behind you. The thing that makes this a hoot though, is that it is played straight - everyone is just so serious; but first, a bit about the plot.
The special edition DVD comes with a comic booklet explaining the origins of the zombie virus and the film picks up when the zombies are inadvertently let loose. The film revolves around a group of people who have to battle the zombies in order to survive but also a corporate or government plot to kill a rogue agent who mumbles and murmurs like a Bruce Willis wannabe with a sore throat. The action clichés are equally unimpressive.
You have to wonder how fit people are caught by shuffling zombies and watch carefully as just about every cliché is incorporated here; and don't get me started on the martial arts fighting. Still, it is great fun and worth watching for a laugh.

"Zombie Apocalypse" is indeed a very bad low budget movie. I saw the IMDb User Rating before buying this DVD and I decided to risk due to low price, since sometimes low budgets trash movies are very interesting. It is only to recall the early Peter Jackson's films in New Zealand. However, this amateurish "Zombie Apocalypse" is awful: the messy storyline and screenplay make no sense, the ham actors and actresses, the locations, the make-up, the tomato juice as blood, nothing works in this Z-movie. There is a histrionic guy that performs the security in the bar that is laughable. And maybe the worst, the conclusion is a cliffhanger for a sequel. Unbelievable! My vote is two.
Title (Brazil): "Apocalipse Zumbi" ("Zombie Apocalypse")

Was just awful. The blood looked like tomato juice and the acting was god awful. Who ever made this was a moron. If you want a good film watch Quarantine 2 or REC. After the first few minutes I turned it off. I rented this film from family Video thinking "Sounds Good". I was horribly wrong. Seriously this film had to be a joke because it sucked so bad. I bet a bunch of monkeys could come up with a better zombie film. The worst part is they are coming out with a sequel to this piece of trash. Now time for some random stuff because I can't think of anything else. I bet REC Genesis will be better. When will the directors learn?
1: Terrible Acting
I've seen better in other low budget films. The scene in the bar just.... I couldn't wait till they killed off the "security" guard. He was just so bad!
2: The Actors The main guy why did he have to speak like that? It was just annoying! The most annoying characters were the bar's security then the one guy at the start who's voice is just.... it's just as bad or worse as the main guys. The one guy in the scrubs was decent and his friend kinda like the 2 college students together but everyone else was just either annoying or killed off.
3. Cheap don't mean lazy. If they would have put the time and effort in this could have been decent.
