No more plastic

I became aware of the plastic problem a couple years ago by joining on tour people who were really careful about consumming products made of it, but sort of missed out on spreading the feeling. When this movie got mentionned, I thought it would be the same as addicted to plastic which I watched last year, and some of the sequences were similar. It seemed to me that "bag it", more than a documentary on plastic bags explained more the dangers of using such materials, and the chemicals used to refine them, like Biphtenol A/BPA & Phtalates. Taken from the point of view of a "comonner" and not a "treehuger", the movie sets the situation from a general way rather than adressing an already radical audience, without being either condescendent or giving up much concessions either.

Basically, this movie will let you dive into the plastic world we have created and how it is destroying it at the same time.

This movie drastically changed my life. I was already a reusable bag-user, but it altered my perception on all of the other plastic things in our lives.

It was shocking how much of the side effects/destruction plastic is doing we don't all know, and that's what really inspired me to make a change.

Plastic is SO detrimental, I wish it just wasn't even invented.

I recommend this film to all viewers.

It's not just some hippie documentary, but for all people of all races, classes, age, sex, etc.

It is ok

Raises awareness, overall slightly lacks analytical perspective. There are only a few, but considerably weird bits with sexual jokes and some gender panic.

Packed with interesting information

Good overview of the problems of plastic- from product use, transportation, composition and recycling. Covers issues around the world as well. Documentary is thoughtful, and entertaining.

The author was not really interested in the topic until his town had a contest- he then starts thinking about all the ways plastic affects our lives, and its affect on the planet, sea life, the oceans and eventually right back to us. It shows the truth about recycling- which is not what people picture. There is the problems of people being unclear about what we can recycle, and also how towns who have tried to fight the chemical companies are largely out-funded.

A very good overview overall, presented with some bits of humor- though a couple jokes may be over the top.

It's not that great

Just counteracting the 10/10 reviews here. It's not there narratively, analytically, production-wise or in delivering on it's promise (any one would suffice). I am not sure it would even qualify as good, perhaps compared to it's counterparts. Defenitively solid background choice though, as it's quite digestable and lively.

To all that rate it 9/10 or 10/10: If you want to be responsible, maybe start with your statements.
