In anticipation of its upcoming release, Netflix debuted a new full-length trailer for Devil May Cry on its official YouTube channel. The nearly two-minute trailer -- set to Papa Roach’s "Last Resort" -- showcased the over-the-top action sequences one would expect from Devil May Cry, alongside the introductions of fan-favorite characters. The White Rabbit is seemingly trying to usher in a new world order dominated by demons, unless the young devil hunter Dante meets with him first. Dante, of course, would never turn down an invitation to a party, especially one as exciting as this.

The original G.I. Joe toyline was conceived in 1963 by designer Stanley Weston and was meant to serve as a more "masculine" counterpart to the female dolls designed for girls. Netflix has released a new poster for “Devil May Cry” ahead of the trailer drop tomorrow.

Based on the Capcom video game franchise, the eight-episode anime series streams on April 3.

Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Johnny Yong Bosch voices Dante. Fans will recognize him as Nero, Dante’s nephew, in the video games.

The show is created by Adi Shankar, who also serves as showrunner, and produced by South Korean animation studio Studio Mir.

Created by Hideki Kamiya, the first Devil May Cry video game was released in 2001. There are now five main games in addition to several reboots, spin-offs, special editions, and mobile games.

Per ComicBook.com, Marvel’s head animation honcho, Brad Winderbaum, has confirmed that the acclaimed series won’t be returning for its sophomore season until 2026. "Season 2 of X-Men ’97 is going to be in ’26. We’re working on it now. It’s exciting," explained Winderbaum, who is the Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel. The news comes as a tremendous disappointment to fans, as it means they will have to wait nearly two full years for the resolution to Season 1’s cliffhangers.
